What bindings are they?
ОтветитьAwesome video! I’ve learned a lot
ОтветитьReally nice hints!
ОтветитьWhich ski resort is that?
ОтветитьGreat videos of how to practice snowboarding on slopes. I've started to snowboard last year because of my son as he tells me all the time snowboard is the best and skiing sucks :-). But must say these videos make sense to me so I'm able this year to at least do "S" or similar one turns :-))) on blue slopes. Thank you Btw: I'm 44 so another older teaching kid
ОтветитьGreat video. How was it filmed?
ОтветитьNote to self. When I'm in Tignes in a few weeks spend some time on basic drills and not just instantly start ripping it round the mountain. I know for sure my riding is hiding a ton of bad habits that I get away with simply because I've been riding for approaching 30 years.
ОтветитьHi Malcolm, congrats on your cool videos! Can you tell me what binding you ride? It seems quite easy to step in and to get out...
ОтветитьI've snowboard 2 times in my life and i'm about to go back after a 16 years hiatus, thanks for the tips , real golden content 👌
ОтветитьPretty nice exercises, but quite hard to execute if there are moguls, crowds, or both everywhere...
I'd love to see some exercises to improve my skided turns on steep slopes in a mogul hell. I'm still a beginner and often catch some unwanted air time from a bigger mogul and crash. Bending knees helps, but I don't have any references of how the proper technique looks like.
What kind of step on system you have there ?
ОтветитьWhat are your thoughts about the brand CLEW step on system? Are they worth it ?
ОтветитьCan I ask which bindings your using?
ОтветитьHardest part about snowboarding, is getting off that damn ski lift.
ОтветитьExcellent! great camera too. I always wonder if the movements are exactly the same for a woman since we have a different center of gravity, etc. Lauren, founder of SnowboardSecretsTV on YT
ОтветитьHi Malcom, very cool video, and so helpful to watch before heading back out on the mountain!
I would love a video that's a cross between this one and your "Top to Bottom in Alpe d'Huez" video. So basically a POV video wearing a helmet cam where you're describing what you're doing, eg:
- toe side
- flexing
- extending
- knee rotates out
- heel side
- flexing
- extending
- knee rotates in
...
A video like that would really help me visualize riding before hitting the slopes again after a break.
Keep up the great work! I'm not likely to get out to Alpe d'Huez in the near future, but if you come out to the Lake Tahoe area any time let me know -- I'd love to sign up for some lessons with you (and I'm sure there would be plenty of other people as well!)
audio quality blows my mind
ОтветитьWhat camera is this ?
ОтветитьGreat refreshment! Short and simple. Thanx.
ОтветитьOnly the douchiest of snowboarder obviously traverses across a wide swath of busy downhill slope speaking into a selfie stick while skiers are flying down behind him. The ski slope is not your studio.
ОтветитьDo you have any videos on increasing dynamic fore/aft movement? This is a comment on something I need to work on but I don't really understand what it means
ОтветитьHonestly your videos were so helpful Ty man. I watched a bunch before I went and picked it up so quickly thanks to you!
ОтветитьHow can I get a set of those supermatics? Seems there is no stock available anywhere.
ОтветитьAwesome. Providing this instruction while moving is so effective. Can literally see the changes in your line, and the sound of the board, as you describe it. Hoping to put this warm up and refresh to work in a couple days. Cheers. Thank you.
ОтветитьHe Malcolm
Learned boarding at about 40 splitting skiing and boarding and then went full time board at 46 due to a knee issue in 2016.
This year back for the first time since 4 years and having lots of trouble with anchor /T-lifts/button lifts…especially when it wants to pull me out of the track.
How do I core that and stay in the lift track?
hey Malcolm what is the brand name for your snow gear?😃
ОтветитьGreat training video! Your videos are inspiring me and make me want to start to learn snowboarding. I can only ski now. Just wonder if this video was taken at Zermatt under Matterhorn.
Ответитьwhat binding is that? like a step on but also straps??
ОтветитьPaths! My absolute Nemesis!!! Please Help! 🏂
ОтветитьI legitimately still cannot get off the lift without falling and I don’t think I’ll ever not fall
ОтветитьI never saw a better filmed video than this! Thank you 👍
ОтветитьAwesome clip !!!
Malcom - what do you think of the Supermatic ? For daily resort riding ?
It finally snowed where i'm from! it wasn't much but i'm so excited! rewatching this video for the nth time so i don't start from the beginning all over again xd
ОтветитьThank you!, i just learned to link turns I always feel like im going to fast because my turns aren't tight.... That "S" shape exercise really going to help me!
ОтветитьWhat camera model did you use to make the video? Thank you
ОтветитьSnowboarding under these perfect conditions, with so few people on the slope is a piece of cake. That is rarely the case in reality and going to be less so in the future.
ОтветитьVachement pédagogue, comme toujours !
ОтветитьReally great tips! Thank you
ОтветитьThankyou for the refresher Malcolm! I love your videos, you always pick out the most fundamental things i do wrong as a beginner. Could you also do a refresher like this video for long flat runs? I tend to freeze when gathering speed on those and eventually fall or catch an edge. Will try to follow the flat runs and edge catch instructions you have already given in the past but a refresher like this one would be nice! Thankyou!
ОтветитьLooking forward to doing this in two weeks in Whistler as I haven’t been snowboarding for three years.
ОтветитьThat second exercise very much resembles what I naturally find myself doing when I'm waiting on others to catch up. Your videos are great because it is easy to see how they can appeal to all experience levels. Everything is presented with regard to principles having broad application.
ОтветитьWhat kind of bindings You have here ?
ОтветитьWishing my local resort had runs this wide!!!
ОтветитьWhen first starting out to snow board .what shape of board dose beginner bye .Do I bye a traditional cambered deck or a flat deck .
ОтветитьHi Malcom, I love your videos. I'm a 42 year old mom trying to keep up with my 12 year old. Your videos help me a lot! I feel I'm doing pretty well on the slopes, riding blues, but I'm still falling GETTING OFF THE CHAIRLIFT. It's driving me crazy. Do you have a video about getting off, specifically a steep off ramp, I'm fine getting off mellow ramps. Thank you!
ОтветитьWow the cam qual is sick
ОтветитьI feel like i have more control of the board when i bend my legs, i feel like its much easier to fall over when i have a higher centre of gravity which is sort of the "trick" to snowboarding.
Ответить
