I was very critical of Phil when he played for us, but it’s easy to see now his mentality is better than our entire first team.

So DiMaria couldn't handle the weight of ManUtd's shirt when he'd just won ChampionsLeague with RealMadrid and later won big trophies with Argentina.
The DiMaria signing was never going to work for me because you need more strength in the PL and it's also faster paced, mixed with the fact he doesn't have a right foot and he wasn't in a "great" ManUtd team.
You also can't afford to give the ball away as much as he's given it away in games before actually being the player who's scored the winning goal like Argentina vs Switzerland 2014 he lost the ball 51 times then scores the only goal of the game 🤔

All these ex footballers doing TV and podcasts are just hypocrites who can never back up their statements or keep the same energy when they meet the people they are always criticising in person. Roy Keane also apologised to Harry Maguire when he bumped into him. Just pathetic!

A Young Phil Jones would walk into this Utd side. Easy. Just like Smalling, Brown, O'Shea, Fletcher, Park, Saha, Hernandez, Nicky Butt, Phil Neville.... So many squad players were underrated when at Utd but they were all perfect round pegs in round holes!

Phil Jones doesn't know what he's talking about in ETH team, he's been on the sidelines for so long that he doesn't know what's happening in the team. He would be the worst manager on earth

SAF for MANU created a unit based on an ideology, he refreshed the unit just enough to keep it intact, his last league win is his finest and a good example of what I say. The problem with MANU today is its all about the money, the players have sponsors that demand play and dictate. The culture the old players talk about is the product of SAF, the culture now is money profit wages. The current manager buys players he already knows and expects them to work in tougher league. He has no experience of shopping, at Ajax the shopping came to him

Phil Jones, top bloke in my book. I could see him doing well in management. Right what he said about scouting as well. Eye test first and then backed up by stats & other stuff e.g background, school, parents. As he describes about Alex Ferguson’s style. Stats alone don’t just give you the full picture when recruiting players in my opinion, true art of scouting seems to be getting diluted for a Football Manager 2024 (game) approach.

I can see why Man Utd's levels fell over the years. SAF was all about winning. ETH is exactly the same, but the culture ha obviously changed. No wonder He is not getting results

Always liked Phil, he didn’t deserve the hate he got and was a decent squad player for years before he got frozen out of the team.
He would have been great at a lower level Prem team if he decided to move on.

Hearing Rio and Phil speak about the intensity of the pre-game games explains why United has declined since SAF left. You can tell the players are more comfortable now, which breeds complacency as there is no fear factor.

It's great that Rio apologised at the start, however it's just weird that he then suggests a way for Phil to have got round the criticism would've been for him to fill Rio in on the full picture... really??!! The onus is on you to not criticise and jump to conclusions without bothering to take into account other possible factors!

There's a law in the UK that allows you to withhold your taxes from the government and put the money in a trust until your government stops supporting war crimes and genocide.

e.g. look up on the internet "NO TAX FOR GENOCIDE"
