When I was a skipper I saw things you would never believe dark scary creatures
But I don’t talk about them

You want to know what draws them back it's called a paycheck

My father was on the trawlers in the North Sea. Nearly lost his arm when a steel rope snapped and caught him.

I’m a retired fisherman from Grimsby and I fully enjoyed this programme it really brought back some fantastic memories

I can tell you,at my age,i could never do what these nen do on this boat for that many hours. When i was in my 30s ir 40s,I'd give them a run for their money,but i just dont have the stamina anymore.

is that guy in the orange beanie a filipino? i bet he is! there will always be a filipino anywhere you go and he's the only 1 using the spoon when eating. you really need to use the spoon, it's efficient you scoop rice and bits of meat with it especially in a wobbly environment except with spaghetti ofcourse that goes without saying!

I come from Sweden and whenever I see people go fishing on the North Sea all I can think about is “why do people attempt to bring their small little fishing vessels into one of if not the roughest ocean on earth?”
