The Easiest (& Hardest) Way to Make $100k+/Yr (Blue Collar Edition)

Hey man appreciate the videos you put out ! I’m 24 years old looking to get into the lineman trade I was going to attend SLTC but a lot of guys are saying to just get my CDL A and apply to IBEW local unions and different companies I already have gas construction experience but I would love your opinion is the 20k plus worth it for a lineman school ?

My main concern for going into a trade is the toll your body takes, I’m hesitant because I don’t want to have uncertainty of my health in the future, anywhere from knee, back, and hip surgeries

Except for tree workers. We bust our ass for little pay.

A Power Plant Operator can easily make 100k plus a year.
I know operators who made over 200k per year. One made 240k with alot of OT.
This was at a steam power Plant in So Cal.
Some days alone because of the OT can be over 1k in a day. With how OT works coupled with double time, I made over 1,200 in one day
Not bad. Fun job too

My base pay at a Steam Power Plant was 104k as an Operator.
I earned over 100k for many years at that plant and my high was around 170k while I was there.
These Plants run 24/7 so you can do as much or as little OT that you want to do. Everyone does some OT. Some love it and do alot of OT.

You gotta talk about the tree division in the ibew and show us some love.
