Such a great video with so many helpful tips! I have to be really careful with lavenders and lilacs. They tend to wash me out. And I agree, they make me think of my grandmother. I like to opt for more deep purples. Super excited about the stripes and sunshine colors this season!
ОтветитьLove all your videos and suggestions on how to wear the trends age appropriately. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and time
ОтветитьYou make a great point about not overdoing the trends and being true to our personal style. Thank you!
ОтветитьLeft a comment in the wrong video😂but I got it right now.Just left Angela Mashelle channel.
ОтветитьHi Kay... Angela sent me. I also subscribed. I am 67 and love the fact you wear a lot of flats. I can't wear heels anymore due to an amkle issue. Today I actually wore white pants and i did it before Easter. LoL. You reminded me to pull out my white denim jacket. I have been buying a lot of blue lately and its not my favor color...at least I didn't think it was lol. Keep being beautiful.
ОтветитьYes, i don't buy any piece of clothing whose lines don't match on the sides because it makes the piece look cheap no matter how much it costs!!
ОтветитьI think she should learn how to pronounce gingham. That was distracting. But I generally agreed with her suggestions. It is not always WHAT you wear but HOW you wear it. Attitude Girl Attitude. That’s important.
ОтветитьThank you for all your great advice! I love the color purple but I get what you mean about it “Lavender and Old Lace”🧑🏼🦳
ОтветитьI’m thinking about a skirt suit, when I was working I had several, always with some detail like a ruffle at hem or pleats to keep it feminine. But the idea of a shorter jacket with it to me updates it and could probably be worn with the wide legged pants also.
ОтветитьI wish your models were ladies over 50! 😄. The young, slender, long legged models are beautiful but not over 50!
ОтветитьI love purple in all shades. I can never bring myself to buy anything in this color, and could never figure out why. I think by George, you nailed it!
ОтветитьGreat info my big question is help for me to find a white blouse that’s good for someone that has a belly ugh
ОтветитьThanks so much for helping us navigate the new trends! Don’t the colors remind you of the early 80’s, especially that lavender. 😀
ОтветитьGreat tips! I’m not a gingham check woman, so I will pass on that. The squared print doesn’t suit my curvy body. I don’t buy stripes or plaids because manufacturers don’t match the pattern at the seams. I’m petite, & strongly prefer vertical lines. I love the looser pants because my husband & I live in a warm tropical climate. It has been a challenge to find more fitted tops that aren’t too form fitting. My style in retirement is natural with boho. I love the bolder colors, but paired with solids. We live on the beach in a resort community, so my bright tops feel very appropriate. I love purple & have never associated with old age, except the pastel versions. I love aubergine & deep periwinkle. With a defined style description, I’m able to curate my wardrobe more successfully.
ОтветитьGood day Kaye, I am 56 years old and loving your posts. They are an eye opener, I intend to try them. Thank you.
ОтветитьI love that you want women to look current. It seems my grandma's generation slid into what was comfortable and frumpy. Baby Boomer's don't do it that way. We are active and highly relevant till the day we die. Thank you Kay. You make the world a better place!
ОтветитьThe least you can do is use models that are real shaped and OVER 50. Really like your advice but come on!
ОтветитьI love lavender and periwinkle. I wear it a lot.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing the information with me! I took it to heart and purchased a cute navy & white gingham clutch wallet off of eBay! Just a nice touch of spring fashion to my wardrobe and at an affordable price. Keep it coming!
ОтветитьThank you, Karen. Angela M. recommended your channel which I did enjoy. That said, I find gingham makes me feel frumpy- and so I will pass on that bit of advice. Also I’m not likely to experiment with large stripes or large prints of any sort-also because I large prints seem to add years to my look. I do love what you are wearing, nice jacket with pretty blouse-simple and understated, lovely colors. Pearls! Yes! Thanks for reminding me. I am so looking forward to wearing mine again! Looking forward to more videos from you, and thanks to Angela Mashelle for leading me here!
ОтветитьI really enjoy all your videos
ОтветитьLove Talbots!
ОтветитьI especially love your hairstyle in this video. Thank you for all you do!
ОтветитьI loves pink and I loves Navy Periwinkle blue loves skirt suits thanks Kay for showing
ОтветитьI want a good seamstress to make suits and dresses for me
ОтветитьI look forward to hearing you every day. Thank you.
ОтветитьEnjoying your Chanel, I am from the Angela maschelle Chanel
ОтветитьThank you Kay. You are such a sweet woman. I truly enjoy your “lessons.”
ОтветитьI’m enjoying the wide leg relaxed pants. It suits my lifestyle while staying stylish.
ОтветитьWhere are the models our age showing us how to wear clothes
ОтветитьEnjoyed your show and like your style. Good ideas and information. I was surprised to hear about pearls coming back, 😃 . I will not partake of wearing the stripes or the white tennis shoes that seem to be trending. I am a tall girl with equally tall feet lol. I bought a pair and think they look clownish and so unfeminine. Will be dropping those off at Salvation Army.
ОтветитьThank you.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьI have such neck wrinkles and it is issue. What to camouflage.... I wear lots of turtle neck, but spring I need your advice
ОтветитьVery nice video. I am over 60 and don't want to try to dress like 30 or 40. You make some good points. Following you
ОтветитьI keep seeing tops tucked in in many videos for mature women. Drives me crazy because for most of women our age that just not an option because the waistline at that age is not well defined due to either adipose tissue or loose skin everywhere even if you are slim. Skin hugging tops are also not a good option as they show everything at the bra and tummy area.
Clothes need to be semi loose and well proportioned to bottoms, not too long or too short
and they need to look good untucked or semi tucked.
It is hard to find such tops because in my experience they are either too long or too short or too boxy.
Lavender/Lilac is my favorite color!
Ответитьkay, I just found your channel. After watching one video, I subscribed. I am in my 40's, but I love the way you talk and your style advices. That is the direction I want to take. I want to dress stylish, classic, with my own personality , but still modern and relatable.
ОтветитьIf this is a video for women over 50 why are the models 20ish in mini skirts??
ОтветитьI am barely 5 ft and quite petite in build. I don't think I can wear the wide pants, the stripes the gingham or the bold multi colors. I need to be extremely careful with proportion and pattern. I agree with her to really be careful incorporating a lot of these "trends" into our wardrobe. What may look cool at twenty can easily look ridiculous at fifty plus.
ОтветитьI love maxi skirts. Will it be okay?
ОтветитьWould you show someday sleeves! I have very not so flattering elbow to shoulder arms. When I was young they were large but muscular, now they are still large but not firm at all and exercise has not been helpful. And 100 degrees in the shade or not I try to cover them up. So all help is welcome. You have helped in so many areas with other fashion, and I have enjoyed ouryed your shows very much.
ОтветитьWhy are all of the models under 50?
ОтветитьSERA QUE PODRIAN TRADUCIR AL ESPAÑOL
Ответить👍🏻
ОтветитьThis is 100%! So glad I found you!
ОтветитьMiss Kay .. : I just caught this particular video, and I have to say that your hair looks so great here ... it really looks good that way, frames and softens your face ( and I mean soften as in it has such a good affect with your features) . and the length and the style it just looks " happy" ,( is there such a thing.... With hair?! Lol)... it looks fun , young hair has shape and movement, no matter our chronological age ... my hairdresser told me that a long time ago when I used to live in Vegas and I went to a specific salon and she said: " young hair has shape and movement, no matter how old you are" .
I seldom follow trends, other than once in a while... it's good to know that information, no matter if/ how one may be using a Trend . 🙂😊🙏🏻✨️

ОтветитьGood day kay.enjoy watching your video.
ОтветитьI think it's perfectly ok to change your style one day to the next. In fact it's great. Personally, sometimes I want to present as a fortune 500 CEO and the next day I am more in a warm colours bohemian mood and yet at other times I am all about saturated bright colours in a relaxed style. My limits are based on resources, not particular styles.
