Neck tats on a pilot? Nope! That says "I have made mistakes in my life and likely to make more"
ОтветитьWell, well, well... *Someone* won the Darwin Award.
ОтветитьFECES, VASELINE AND DOLLY PARTON
ОтветитьFor god sakes, can we all finally agree? MEN don’t belong at the controls of these complex aircraft.
ОтветитьWho really gives a rats ass?? Do you??
ОтветитьUnless the plane was nearly out of fuel, the pilot should have looked for an airport with better visibility conditions! Not only were they "dead wrong," they created a mess that will take YEARS to fix!
ОтветитьThe vertical stabilizer/"dorsal fin" clipped wires??
ОтветитьThe repair to this bungee cord looks questionable, but I'll give it a go.
ОтветитьDefinition of FAFO… and he found out.
ОтветитьThat was a thoughtless remark by the interviewee. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a pilot stating, “We’ll give it a go.” As long as the pilot flies the procedure as published and doesn’t bust minimums he can stay up there shooting the same approach over and over again if he should so choose. The only reason this guy crashed is because of some heretofore unknown reason he did not fly the procedure as published.
ОтветитьPilot makes multiple poor choices... BLAME TRUMP!!!! 😆😅😂🤣
ОтветитьShould’ve diverted to LAX. We’re open 24/7. Refueled and waited for the weather to improve.
ОтветитьThis “fake it till you make it” mentality is so dangerous. Bring back humility and knowing your limits.
ОтветитьI thought the ATIS weather was updated hourly unless there was a significant change and they issue a special update. Never ever heard of it updating minute to minute. Sucks the weather data wasn’t available. Pilot should have diverted to an alternate airport.
ОтветитьIf I may quote Yoda, always the wise master: "Do or do not. There is no try." Anyone should know that anywhere near the coast(and inland) in SoCal can be fogged in except in the middle of the day. WHY would this pilot have behaved this way? Trying to please a client, I guess. In the words of Shakespeare, "All are punish'ed."
ОтветитьRNAV 28 Right, not RNF
ОтветитьSomeone didn't know h0w to go Missed?!
ОтветитьYou could not pay me to live near one of the many airports in SD. Just recently, an unmanned navy jet was flying over Point Loma after the pilot ejected and, luckily, crashed in the bay instead of into a residential area. PSA 182 into North Park. Navy jet into University City. Private plane into El Cajon neighborhood near Gillespie. No thank you...
ОтветитьThey weren’t very conscientious
ОтветитьI can only imagine if a black pilot said"I'll give it a go". The comment section would be on fire blaming his race. See the double standard there👀
ОтветитьIt’s so sad when you hear these pilots on the recording, and you know they’re about to depart this world. Rest in peace to all those onboard.
ОтветитьRegional command center?
Ответитьits not that different from roads today. there are those that make bad decisions, and they pay a high price. As do those around them.
ОтветитьPilot error, the left will say it was trumps fault for firing atcs
ОтветитьFlying 7-800ft below glidescope in foggy weather in known hilly/mountain terrain area is autism.
ОтветитьIs it possible the passengers were asleep?
ОтветитьWhen you gut the FAA…
ОтветитьA lot of Monday morning quarterbacking going on here by people with dubious credentials. If the pilot decided to "give it a go" and made a decision to fly the approach to minimums, that by itself was not necessarily a reckless decision. He evidently had no weather reporting at the field, so there was no way to know what the airport conditions were. If he made a decision to fly into possible convective activity that might be different. This has shades of the Delta 191 crash at DFW in 1985.
ОтветитьI don’t get why planes are allowed to land in the dark early morning with that typical morning costal clouds.
ОтветитьWith the perilous weather conditions, I can't understand why he was diverted to another airport. It is a miracle on this Memorial Day weekend that all military families survived this act of human error...
ОтветитьEverything is Broken....but we got more Billionaires tax cuts instead
ОтветитьAnyone that says "I'll give it a go" is not a real pilot. A real amateur that is gambling with his, and everyone else's lives. He's a musician who happens to have a pilots license. There needs to be stricter requirements and training to have a license to pilot a plane. Someone that has more common sense to find somewhere safe to land, rather than risk flying partially blind. What a joke
ОтветитьWait for the facts please…
ОтветитьEverything about this story screams stupidity
ОтветитьIncompetence RIP 🙏🌈🙏.
ОтветитьBusting minimums caused this accident. This pilot was an idiot.
ОтветитьShould these pilots go on strike or something. Why keep dealing with this issue that can be fixed. It just seems like if they stick together it may get better results.
ОтветитьThat airport should be closed. It's too dangerous. And yes, I voted for kamala Harris.
Ответитьas usual these news clowns are looking all judgemental at the pilot and saying everything to demonstrate their complete ignorance of anything concerning aviation. although this inexperienced pilot used improper terminology when saying give it a go, the controller knew what he meant and this is a very common thing for instrument pilots to do in low visibility weather. he totally blew the approach procedure though and it was his final mistake. any pilot on a non commercial flight can fly the published procedure down to published minimums safely and is a very common practice. if you execute the procedure properly and do the missed approach procedure correctly it is safer than driving down the freeway in san diego or any other large city. but if you screw it up it can easily be fatal and be another opportunity for the news media to display their ignorance on national TV!
Ответитьas usual the media has it all wrong because they don't have a clue about anything aviation related and they find some ignoramus at the airport who is a flught instructor who doesn't know much about this operation. this pilot made several key mistakes and used improper terminology which gives an experienced ATC controller immediate insight as to the pilots experience level just as an experienced pilot can tell immediately when the ATC controller is new. the only thing the instructor pilot got right is he got low on the approach but he obviously has no clue as to why this happened. the pilot thought he was locked onto the glide slope which controls the descent of the aircraft down to the runway threshold if the autopilot is on and is locked on to the signal. sometimes in mountainous terrain where controllers vector pilots on to the glide slope pilots can easily be fooled into thinking they are locked on to the glide slope when they are not which is an often fatal mistake. this pilot/owner decided he had to be in san diego by 0300 all the way from teterboro in new jersey on the east coast which meant he had to fly all night long with likely no to little sleep, single pilot. every one of these are pathetically poor decisions made by an obviously inexperienced pilot. the controller knew about this tendency for pilots to make the mistake on the glide slope and he knew the guy was too hight to get on the slide slope properly which is why he asked the pilot if he wanted to circle once to lose some of that excess altitude but the pilot ignored the warning and said he could handle it no problem. pretty clear from looking at the smoking wreckage he could not handle it. be very careful about going on flights with wealthy owner/operators of multi million dollar private aircraft. they often know just enough to be dangerous.
ОтветитьWow, just wow 😮. You never fly in foggy 🌁 weather 🙄 and drive 🚗 🙄 common sense
Ответить90% of pilots have no business flying
ОтветитьHe has to be drinking or
Something because no one in their right mind would do that. Praying for the families but this was preventable
Isn’t that a private airspace
ОтветитьThere are all sorts of solar flares occuring recently that could be affecting instruments.
ОтветитьHello NBC 7 San Diego. Decent coverage on this terrible accident, luckily no one in that neighborhood died or was severely injured. My suggestion would be to find a more experienced pilot for his opinion on WTF went wrong instead of just criticizing the pilot. WE do not know what happened early this morning. ATC and ADS-B info are just the start. WE still do not know how many people were on board that jet! Think of their familys who've lost their loved ones FFS! WE do know a Cessna 550 hit that neighborhood missing a wing or piece of the tall section. Look at the ADS-B data. Look at the footage on that street. Let the NTSB do their work, they are the Best at what they do!
ОтветитьThe title should have read: "I'll give it a go" pilots last words before the crash!
🙄
lol every landing is an attempt and may involve a missed approach. I think you got bababouied.
ОтветитьPilot Error.
