I agree it must be made with better battery life. and 3g with bigger screen and with faster processor with phone calling capabilities accurate GPS like "compact camera grade superior camera -smartphone" even if its bulky it will be usefull then on later versions it could become slimer and thus more comfortable to carry but retaining its superior camera function

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note2 and I bought this camera for the actual camera itself and to have the android OS as well. I bought the Wifi model of this. I get great battery life, but I presume that is because it's not always connected to a wifi, so I turn it off. I can tether it to my note 2's wifi hotspot if needed, but that is rare. great video, but I like the size of this, and it's functionality. I'm prob a rare case though. =)

Help, I use this camera to make short videos for work - but I can't find an app that will allow me to edit with a title page (just a simple ending page with text). Does anyone know one? I currently use Video Editor and Andro Vid Pro and I don't think either of them do it.

i just bought one for my self and i will like to know if its possible to download a dialer  to be able to make calls?

WHy are you calling it a "Daily Driver" Is this some new term? Genuine question. Because it seems pretty unrelated to any of the features of an android device. 

The one I have does not allow a sim card to be inserted. It has the slot but the slot has been blocked by a permanent insert. I can not remove it. Any ideas why?

I thought this device was great... literally its great for capturing photos. Up to 21x zoom. Its bulky yeah.. but lags often when used. Such short battery life...

3 years later...

Got a used version 2 of this camera and I am impressed. They did do something about the battery life and the housing is slimmer, the memory larger and Android one version newer. If you happen to be where Wifi is readily available, you could make this your phone with Skype - well, almost. Pretty happy with it so far, but I am keeping my smartphone.

It is almost 2018 but I kinda interested on this camera.. You can edit your pictures on your camera using many Android photo edit app without the need to transfer the photo to pc or smartphone first.. The picture quality is good, the optical zoom is a nice feature that many smartphone did not have, and also it's a lot cheaper right now
