I love Jasper Fforde's books! He has a new stand alone releasing in the UK called Early Riser later this year. I pre-ordered it because the US version won't be out until 2019. Also, if you liked the Illuminae series, you might aslo like Sleeping Giants. It is written in a transcript form as well. It was an interesting story and the third book in the series just came out too.

This was so refreshing to watch - I demand more videos featuring Crystal!! Yes, I too remove the dust jackets off hardcovers when I read them - I’m terrified of damaging them. And snap - I have never read anything by SJM. I don’t think I ever will. Recommendation for sci-fi The Themis Files by Sylvain Neuvel. Sleeping Giants is brilliant :)

I've read The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde, and I just couldn't get into it.

Order ot the Phoenix is also my favorite novel in the Harry Potter series. You're right when you say that most people don't name it as their favorite, but Order of the Phoenix just completely drew me in.

I love the Count of Monte Cristo. The story was so engrossing. To be such a large tome it is a real page turner. Have you read , Three Musketeers? I need to get to Dumas other works to see if I will love them as much as the Count of Monte Cristo. My scientific fiction recommendation is , "Old Man's War, " by John Scalzi. The audio book is amazing. I read the first 3 books in the series. I recommend just see if the first book grabs you.

I've never read a Sarah J. Maas book either. I might read her version of Catwoman later in the year. Maybe you could do a video about your favourite mysteries/detective stories? That would be cool ☺
