Such a wonderful rendition of this Rachmaninoff Rhapsody variations. I find it very helpful that each variation is shown in subtitles in the video. Alexander has an incredibly philosophical approach to music and life at only 16 - Read EveWong comment. Unbelievable at 16.

Beautiful how the Italian musicians are under fire giving this young musician always support and guidance! Bravo!

Also the part of the orchestra is heavy to play according timing, brass section, strings and the piano in time. Great orchestra with a conductor who gives a pretty good guidance. First to hearsay the Paganini caprice a-minor left-handed plus orchestra part before practicing the piano solo section. That helps a lot.

This guy is cool and tough still focusing on the music and nothing else!

He played every note with such gravity and deliberation; there's something revolutionary to his pianism that can rarely be heard elsewhere. He's only a year older than me in this video; I look up to him so much as a pianist! Surely he'll be the greatest pianist of our century.
