Hi don’t see the recipe?
ОтветитьExcellent video from start to finish. Practical, informative and relevant. Thanks; nothing like growing your own food, processing it and sharing all that goodness with family. Again thanks for sharing. God bless.
ОтветитьPerfect video! I have an abundance of greenies that I’ve been looking for a good fresh tasting recipe. You remind me if my hubby-he’s so good with our babies. Thanks for sharing your ideas and sweet family!
ОтветитьHigh an I found this going to make this thanks brother 🇨🇦. Just finished it turned out great ❤️ fantastic thanks
Ответитьof all of the recipes I search this is by far the best.
Ответитьthe boiling water thing for the skins is called "blanching". Great video :)
ОтветитьI don’t know how I came to have it, but one of those tomato core gadgets was in my utensil drawer. I works just great! I had a great tomatoes this year, and the season is winding down, and there will be a passel of green tomatoes in a few days.
ОтветитьI find jalapeño peppers to be unreliable for heat, some are very hot, some mild. You either need to taste test each one, or alternatively, use a couple of Serrano or Thai Hot, they are reliably scorching hot. I do like the flavor the jalapeño brings, so if I have them I use them. What I did was make most of my salsa mild, for everyone, and held back 3 pints that I put the Thai Hot into.
ОтветитьI ran across this video earlier you are a god-sent that recipe is awesome thank you so much.👍
ОтветитьAwesome video! Making this tomorrow actually and was wondering if you could just use a food processor. Did you happen to chop the tomatoes with a food processor too?
ОтветитьLooks so good!!
Ответитьis there a reason you used a plastic mason jar funnel, instead of a metal one?
Ответитьtrying this today, awesome family vibes, happy days
ОтветитьCan i just turn screw jar lids of my relish upside down to seal.thnx..😄🇦🇺🦘
ОтветитьWhat is that tool called? The one you use on the tomatoes in the beginning.
ОтветитьAny idea how many kg of green tomatoes you needed to get those 7 cups?
ОтветитьI prefer green tomatoes rather than tomatillos. We also grow green ripening tomatoes so we have a combination of ripe and unripe that goes into our green salsa and it really rounds out the flavor nicely.
ОтветитьI'm definitely going to make this. Thanks for the great video!
ОтветитьYou have beautiful children and looks like dad is a great cook. Thanks for the recipe!
ОтветитьPlanning to make this. Your children are adorable!
ОтветитьNice video ‼️
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you! Subbed.
ОтветитьCool recipe. Thanks for sharing it. God Bless. 😊😊😊
ОтветитьGreat thanks I've been looking for a recipe for green tomatoes from my mum's greenhouse! Will try this week end of sunshine in Scotland now ! We don'g get tomoteos here .
ОтветитьWhat about the lime juice. ???
ОтветитьLove this! What a fantastic dad and husband! Great recipe 😊
ОтветитьGood job Dad!!!
ОтветитьNew subscriber here. Looking for recipes for Green Tomatoes. Thanks for making it look easy.
ОтветитьHere in T or C New Mexico the tomatoes are still green in October..... The heat in June July and August just nearly killed them.... Picking a lot now and will try your recipe.... A side note. I planted in April.
ОтветитьVery cool. I’m gonna give this one a try tomorrow 👍
ОтветитьMaking this 2 morrow. Love your kids, thx for the recipe.
ОтветитьYour channel just came up on my feed. I looked through your videos. Can't wait to watch them. I will be making pickled green tomatoes slices and green tomato salsa this week. For the salsa I plan to roast my green tomatoes, onion and garlic for about 15 minutes @450°F. Your kids are so cute.
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьIf you double the amount of tomatoes and you keep the rest of the ingredients the same what does this do to the overall recipe.
ОтветитьLovely family. Also, thank you for sharing the recipe and how to process it. I, too, have so much green tomatoes from the garden.
ОтветитьFirst time on you’re site. You made it very simple and I appreciate you telling exact measurements of the ingredients. . My project for tomorrow. Thanks again😊
ОтветитьI made you’re salsa it is delicious. I made 12 batches splitting it up with different amounts of heat (jalapeños ) due to different members of our family Liking different heats and I have to say they are all yummy. Thank you for sharing❤ . This was my first time making green tomato salsa. I also made red tomato salsa so we are good lol
ОтветитьBlanching
ОтветитьYum! I need to make some.
I usually just roast the tomatillos, onion, garlic, and a mix of peppers - jalapeños, poblanos, serranos. Once they’re roasted, I put everything in the blender and add the seasonings, fresh cilantro, and the juice of a couple of limes.😋
I don’t core or peel the tomatoes. I don’t know if it affects the flavor, but my family really gobble it up.
I need to make this, after all the tomatoes that I picked yesterday, due to us having our first frost.
I’ve never canned. That part makes me nervous 😬.
Looks amazing. What is the purpose of removing the skins? I’ve seen recipes where some do, some don’t. I can understand removing them for tomato sauce regarding texture but in salsa is it really necessary?
ОтветитьCongratulations! This is the first video that actually followed the Ball recipe because you peeled the green tomatoes as recommended. I can't tell you how many people that don't peel them. It is necessary to remove the bacterial load that comes on the skins.
ОтветитьI made some last year. I put it in my white chicken chili. It's so good!
ОтветитьGreat video. Let's make baby food!! Boil pumpkin until soft then add homemade butter and mash.
ОтветитьYou said it was a double recipe of 14 cups of tomatoes but some of the ingredients doesn’t seem like they are doubled. Just wanted to make sure that all the recipe is for the double recipe. Was wanting to make it. Thank you.
ОтветитьI’ve been contemplating what all to do with my green tomatoes that didn’t ripen. I just made a huge batch of this and damn it’s good!
Added just a bit more salt and a couple Serrano peppers to kick the heat up. Most excellent!! TY for the recipe Rocky Creek!!
Wow this just popped up on my feed and I was just thinking about what I could do with green tomatoes! Can you use any type of green tomatoes or a combination? Thank you for such great step by step instructions
Ответитьsolid video, man. first time watching, but I enjoyed. Side note, make your own baby food everyone. I went with store bought bison and elk to start our baby and I probably did not save a whole lot over what I could buy, but I was able to verify everything I put in it and we overspent on the fancy grocery store organics.
Ответитьfirst time to your channel. Good job daddy O. I am going to try this we love green tomatoes.
ОтветитьThank goodness I found this video I’ve watched so many of these making salsa verde and none of them are taking off the outside peel of the tomatoes and I can’t stand that it to me ruins your recipe and is tuff to eat
ОтветитьYou're absolutely right, the best verde salsa. My family loves this stuff. We didn't make enough last year and went through it within weeks. Thank you.
