Insta360 X3 vs Insta360 One X2… Is it an Upgrade?

I'd love an x3 lite version with the upgraded sensor but the smaller screen that doesn't break that easily. Who thought it would be a good idea to put a giant, curved screen on a literal action cam?

i found an x2 for 100 dollars, is that wothy the buy?

Not worth the upgrade just by listening to your arguments. Bigger screen and two buttons added isn't worth couple hundreds more

I noticed towards the end of the video, you only included the audio from the X3, not the X2. does this mean X2 doesn't have audio? not that it matters, because i plan on using this on a motorcycle and i'm sure the wind noise is nuts

The bigger screen just seems like a liability to me. Surely with the 360 camera you don't really need a screen to frame the image.

i think x2 has a better audio quality. maybe its just me. maybe its a matter of preference

While both these cameras are excellent, have insane stabilization and instant editing options on your phone. Don't go diving in the sea without the dive case. I learnt it the hard way and so i now own the one X3 😂

This aint better than X2 from the neutral compare shots .. and these social media h0's that been lubed by CN Insta360 to push a certain narrative.. take these social media influencers agenda with a pinch of salt... as they clearly have a motive in profiting and painting a new tech in acertain light, and paying back to their CN tech-pimp greasing them with goodies and getting soem action on their aff-- sources..
have seen numerous videos & pictures now.. find the dynamic range and exposure better on X2 as X3 again and again seems hazy.. likely down to overexposing the footage, and also find the X2 colorprofile more pleasing and natural as X3 often got a greenish teint, not least on skin.
the 72 mpixel is a gimmick.. wont do anything meaningfull, its just a quad bayer layer... slashing each pixel into 4 and call it a day, so you wont see any benefits vs the native 18 mpixel.
same approach as we saw with DJI Air2 and its 48mpix.
and what the f is active HDR.. hmm and SDR with an HDR 'ish elevated colorprofile
when you hear active.. you think its an HDR container that HDR appliances can handle and triggger of.. so what is it.. basic HDR10, dyamic & frame by frame HDR like HDR10+ or DV?.. nope..
My new camera likely got liquid infused HDR. (yeah that sounds fancy, huh..but what is it.. hmm its liquid infused HDR, its amazing, its like the second comming of christ..)
nahh, made up bs.. before we see actual HDR containers that other appliances can trigger.. its halfbaked.. sure X2 HDR was many times better video when std.. but still.. .
take these vendors worddplay with a pinch of salt and sadly none of these greased social media influencers.. aint gonna digg into these things, as it would not look favorable at their chinese tech pimp... who thye useally are fully loyal to and not their viewers purse.

I notice that the colors of x2 is better than the x3. The x3 has purple tint on it, having the same tint in old sony cameras. And on first camera comparison the x2 has better audio. Now what i really want to know is that do the x3 has 10bit because gopro and osmo action 3 has it.

The only thing the X2 seems to do better is capture more audio. I personally think it sounds better. But I'm pretty sold on the X3

I always watch these videos to see the older vs newer product but it’s a waste of time because I already knew I was buying the newer one before I watched it. Like always.

I've had the one X since it came out and love it. Still haven't damaged the lens! So, I often walk with it in forests. Once I frame the 360 to 1080p, the details that I see on trees isn't as good as I'd like (I've been a forester for 50 years) - pretty good but not good enough. I had been thinking of springing for a dedicated 4K camera then I heard about the X3 which can use a single lens at 4K. What I'd like to know is- will the detail with the single lens at 4K be much better than framing a 5.7K 360 to 1080p? And, with single lens- how will it work with the selfie stick because the camera will need to be vertical. I've seen people put smart phones on selfie sticks and they can adjust the camera so it will be vertical. I suppose I could hold it straight up or down or sideways but that's inconvenient. Or, use it on a chest or head mount.

You say its more like an action camera, but don't mention the exposed (irreplaceble) lenses? Biased and misleading.

I love that they copy the menu of a blackmagic camera(the X3) . It's the best menu ever made. I'll grab the X3 soon !
