I am using onedrive to keep my organization documents and maintaining an excel sheet for for details about status of the documents and given hyperlinks from onedrive to access documents. I tried sharepoint list instead of excel but seems not working well. Is there any better solution?

What is best practise to grant permissions to a site? Is that by going into "Advanced permissions settings" and then add the users to the specific groups or via the Site - Membership?

I'm also curious if you can add the users in a different way for example via M365 portal - Groups?

If a member create a share link for the folder within document library and send it to someone inside the organization then that person can access to the folder even if they don’t have access to site. How do i stop this?

I have created a "Team Site" on SharePoint for document sharing like an Excel workbook for multiple people to work on at the same time, the main concern is that unable to get a real-time reflection from another person, whoever has site visitor or member access.

I am giving reference to Google Sheets as a real-time reflection.

Could you please help on that.

I am not a admin but I am responsible for managing documents for our different groups of customers. We have our own FP&A SharePoint TEAMS site that we use to organize our own files for collaborating and sharing of documents. What we want to do is to create a place for documents for the Capital process, Budget process, etc. Currently team members have created separate sites for these items. But I would like for these users to come to a subsite of our FPA site and give different users different access to each use. Should we leave these sites as is and perhaps make our subsite as a hubsite? Or should we just create separate pages on our subsite and manage it this way. I have not been able to find anything specific to this yet. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

I will need to create a new communication site for one of my client but is it possible to assign an external account (email account on a different tenant) as owner of the site. The external user is the one who will manage the site.

thanks!.. i lived in stirling for 8 yrs :) do you do vids on custom coding in sharepoint? im just getting started for a client.

Started off so well. Why would you want to show 'Beginners' the sharepoint admin pages! For a business this is irrelevant to most users. Be better off showing what all the different web parts look like and how to use them. Missed a trick.
