I did various tests and I come out as well grounded Alpha male, but when I listen to you I have the impression I am a Sigma. I guess the one thing that confuses everything in your theory is that you say a Sigma does not care about what other people think and is more absorbed in his own ego which makes it a stigma. You also say that Sigma's are rare but in some of the tests I performed it showed the amount of people who did the test and percentages and the majority of males are either Beta or Sigma and in fact Alpha males are the rare ones in some tests even less than 5% while Beta and Sigma would reach 35%. This Sigma trend is a bit all exaggerated. Maybe a Psyop to push man to be loners and stop spreading the seed and think it is cool. It is all about the war on the seed of Mankind.

The Sigma also looks a lot like Dostoevsky’s Underground Man:
The underground man is clearly in the aesthetic stage of existence that Kierkegaard explores in Either/or. He says that there are two forms of despair: the despair of not willing be one’s Fyodor Dostoyevsky (1821–1881) own self and the despair of willing to be one’s own self.

As he explains, the despair of willing to be one’s own self, Kierkegaard uses the example of an individual suffering from vertigo to show that refusing to recognize one’s reliance on the “Power” (or God) through repeated self-reflection causes the self to be out of balance, which in turn leads to despair. So he believes that willing to be one’s own self without relating to the intrinsic God in us through defiance results in further despair. In his words, if “by himself and by himself only he would abolish the despair, then by all the labour he expends, he is only laboring himself into a deeper despair.”

I feel like I use Facebook to sort of see what's going on with friends but more so for my interests and groups, the things that I learn something from, interesting stories, of course funny things that make me laugh and to show some of the cool things I'm doing. People always complain about drama on social media, but just like in real life, I see it, don't care and scroll to something more interesting than that crap. Does anyone else do the same thing?

So here's a little something you should understand. Sigmas, like every other type are born, not made. This current fascination with Sigmas/INTJs is kind of annoying, as it has created not only massive waves of wannabes, but has drawn a lot of unwanted attention. As such it has done a lot to devalue us, but the good news is that we really don't give a shit. We don't choose to be this way, and the idea of giving us instructions on how to be is kind of laughable. If you wish to try to describe us to others, in what you perceive us to be, good luck, we're probably not what you think we are, a lot of the time.

I don't think that is even possible, you're either one or not.
When I was a kid I went through some serious stuff, lost my Dad and Brother when I was young, I had a tumor and was hit by a car.
I was even hit by a truck when I was about 5.

Very interesting, Having been to a number of business and self improvement courses putting people into a box be it Alpha or Beta or what ever box they could fit you in seemed to always come up. I could always relate to parts of the descriptions but not all and really never liked the idea of pigeon holing individuals. I do have to admit now that Sigma seems to tick more boxes for me than anything else and explains a lot. I have never liked social media and avoid it like the plague. When lock down was forced on us here in New Zealand I could not be happier apart from the thoughts of political overreach, time to myself to do as I wanted. I managed to renovate my entire house without help and loved it. My friends thought I was weird as I just disappeared of the radar to all but my tight circle of friends for months and that was only because my friends kept making sure I hadn't croaked. Now after the Covid madness is subsiding I now have the urge to sell up and buy a bolt hole in the middle of nowhere, peace oh perfect peace. So maybe I am a Sigma however I would prefer to be known as a individual that will not be put in a F in box! All I want to say is that someone can't "become sigma" just by watching a video. That brings a lot of wannabes sure you can try but it can't be hardwired into you. I feel like nature is the biggest play in this someone has to be born this way as opposed to watching a video trying to be a Sigma.

We always speed up the playback of the video, when the audio is the main source of interest, because we don't wish to waste time waiting for the next word to be presented . Usually to 1.5 if it is a fast talker and 1.75 and above if not .

You can try to achieve the mindset or just let your traits do the work, it's optional but don't mask up who you aren't. Even at work when im told to do things, i quicky observe whats gonna be wring with the situation and so im a rebel so i do things my way and things turn out better than im originally told
