Was a Redskins fan years ago. I'm glad they're doing well and one big difference is the number of times the QB is being sacked. Howell was sacked more than any QB last year. They have a tough schedule ahead. The Saints and Falcons are good teams but if the Commanders go 4-4 the rest of the way they'll make the playoffs. 5-3 is realistic even with the division games.

I think the whole reason the piece even came out was because of just how weird it is to here players say they're willing to be traded to Washington. It's not as if they wouldn't be willing to play for other teams. It's just that maybe some guys are saying " hey if I get traded I wouldn't mind landing in Washington, KC, Detroit, etc, etc". I don't think it was meant as guys are singling out the commanders as their preferred trade destination

i mean washington is still figuring itself out in some regards cmon, the whole team was turned over... agree they havent played a lot of contenders yet, bucs, bengals and cards have been the closest thing, but they are finding ways to win... i will look at the chicago game as a major wake up call to their red zone problems, you cant dominate games and then find yourself trailing like that with 30 seconds left and expect people to call you a contender... i think the steelers game could be a slap in the face if they dont capitalize , and the 2 games left against philly will say a lot about where they are right now
