Just further proof that West Virginia is backwards middle of nowhere where anything can happen. Because of course it’s West Virginia
ОтветитьA Shambling Mound. Usually only found in Dungeons and Dragons games. Fascinating.
ОтветитьThe headless nature of the Grafton Momster makes me think of The Mothman. Like what if this is the caterpillar form to the Mothman creatures? They're both seen in West Virginaia....it's interesting.
ОтветитьWho has played Fallout 76 and killed these monsters? :)
ОтветитьSo THAT'S where all those bits of cattle flesh went to.... takes a lot of lips and eyelids to create this massive dude
ОтветитьWhat is a carriageway?
Ответитьmountain monsters did this
ОтветитьMy first thought was an escaped government experiment. There’s nothing natural about this if it is real.
ОтветитьThe first story i have heard of a cryptid that isn’t hostile 😂 he seems pretty chill ngl
ОтветитьI wonder if cannobolt from ben 10 was inspired by the grafton monster🤔
ОтветитьI just killed a legendary Grafton monster yesterday in fallout 76 lol
ОтветитьIT'S WILLIAM BIRKIN!!! WAIT...HE KINDA HAD A HEAD, DIDNT HE??
ОтветитьSomething OUT of hell???
ОтветитьTHIS. THING COULD BE RIGHT OUT OF LOVECRAFT.
PERHAPS A SECREC GOVERMENT EXPERIMENT..
.... ha ha...IT wasent wisteling...
IT was farting.... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
So no head?
ОтветитьThis World is so weird! What could this be? Deformed Bigfoot? A Golem?
ОтветитьOther cryptids: strange animals, mythology, ghosts, aliens
This thing: headless hunk of GAINS
Me in fallout when I play spin the wheel
ОтветитьSo no head ?
ОтветитьDidn't people take a lot of drugs in the 60s...
ОтветитьI know what it was. It was a "sporad". It is a bit like a cryptid. They are interdimensional beings who inhabit the liminal regions that sometimes become a loosely transvalent nexus with our own facet of existence. One needs to be a fairly sentient being in order to witness one of their brief peregrinations into our side. There were quite a few of them near my nan's house back when she was a practicing witch, although they only appeared sporadically .
ОтветитьAs a West Virginian you have got to get this correct,it’s Appa- Latch- Ian not Appa - lecian, and these three, Grafton Monster, Flatwoods Monster (or Braxy) and the Mothman. There are so many more here that we all know about but are not as well known out of state. There is Logan County Hell Hounds (or Devil Dogs), The Veggie Man (no I’m not kidding), the Hampshire Hound (wolf man type), numerous sightings all over of Bigfoot (also called Wolly-bugger, Grassman, Mnt. Bugger and others), The Mine Trolls or Tommy Knockers in several counties which have mines or course, Bat Boy in Lost World Caverns in Greenbrier County. And several more, you should look into some of these they make for great stories.
ОтветитьI suppose since it doesn't have a head...it really can't hear the dogs barking or see the guns pointed at it. It just kind of exists.
ОтветитьHow crazy would it be if all this paranormal/extraterrestrial stuff was just a result of CERN breaking space/time
Ответить"They did not, however, open fire..." Stop press! Armed humans did NOT open fire as soon as they saw a cryptid! 😲
ОтветитьGreat stuff and love the artwork as always. Thank you!
ОтветитьThose close to the ground theories are the worst intelligence insulting ones I've ever heard...
ОтветитьI gotta get bulking tips from that monster
ОтветитьThrilled to have this brought to my attention as I cosplay as the Grafton Monster at the Grafton Monster festival. Thank you for giving some shine to the headless brute!
ОтветитьSo no head?
ОтветитьEither demons appeared to all these people in the same manner for a specific reason, or it's a laboratory experiment gone wrong.
ОтветитьIt’s the smasher from plankerton
ОтветитьCan you please do a story on the Riverside Cryptid and catacomb hauntings in Riverside, California? Its really interesting stuff!
ОтветитьLooks like a leftover monster design from Silent Hill.
Ответитьeverybody gangsta until the L4D2 tank comes to real life 💀💀
ОтветитьI love the artwork that goes with the story.
ОтветитьAlso known as the Headless Horror, I first heard about the Grafton Monster through the show Mountain Monsters (I love that show). It's definitely a very interesting and weird cryptid. Mothman is my favorite cryptid
ОтветитьDid it have buttocks ? I mean, that should've been the first thing one would look at when one encounters a headless bipedal being. If it did have a butt, then it most definitely had a mouth...
ОтветитьInteresting theory about it being a golem. However, I need to ask if there was a large enough Jewish Community in Grafton? Here in WV usually only the major cities or industrial areas had a large enough Jewish Community to have a synogogue.
Ответить-Appear out of the water.
-Crush a small boat.
-Flex.
-Disappear without further explanation.
so..... It was the Du pont's company mascot? We all now they were dumping chemicals in the water that effected the towns folk. How far fetched would it be to assume that this really isnt a deformed animal?
ОтветитьThat’s the Fallout 76 Grafton monster in these pictures. I don’t know if that’s actually what it looks like but it’s nice that design is being used
Ответитьseals are nursing mammals...
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьIt must have been full.
ОтветитьTrampled flora and fauna? There were little squished squirrels and birds on the road?
ОтветитьThe Grafton monster i think is a Failed Experiment during the Cold war when soldiers and scientists were trying to create super soldiers
ОтветитьThe Grafton Mogger
