They tied him to a Tree - Watch his First Tail Wag

This past Sunday we adopted a mostly German Shepherd puppy from an NPO. He didn't look unhealthy, but was extremely thin. He got himself adopted by getting into my daughter's lap, walking with her even though he doesn't usually walk with people and then going to sleep in her lap. There was just no way we could leave him there. Usually there's a 24 hour wait, but we brought him home that same afternoon.

Omg, Rocky! Thank you for sitting with Oscar! It was so wonderful to see him reaching out to you in the end! That tail wagging, his head held high and him wanting to be with you!!! ❤❤❤ Oscar needs that kind of love and a home.

He's such a kind and gentle soul and I can't wait to see how he'll be bouncing around one day, the day he'll be healthy and happy, like the time when Bean was finally testing his legs!

You're 💯 right, Oscar can't eat all he wants, he'll get sick bc all his organs are malnourished, too!
They have to get used to food again in mini tiny baby steps or he'll get overwhelmed and that can cause multiple organ failure!

I watched this several days ago, now almost midnight 6/16 Texas. It still breaks my heart to see an animal like this. I hope he thrives and finds a family

What strook me was the absent of his front shoulder miscles. Normall a dog has quite wide upper miscles aeound the their should blades. He just had dents therez so sad

I live in the caribbean and there ao many stray dogs here on the islamds, its just crazy. So many folks also treat their dogs really rrally bad. Lots of folks here, just have dogs as a security "system". They are toed up with a chain orso. There are also tons of them just being sumped every where. You thiught this dog was a 8-9 rsring out of 10. Well, it can get even way worse. Lots of times tou see here sogs much much thinner than rhis one. The ribs and apine are more visible then. Irs heart braking what folks do to the dogs. The issue is that there srill no laws here to punish the ownerr through court system or by law. There seems to be aomething in the making, but ots going super slow

My sister adopted a dog that was skinny and defeated like Oscar. He was so scared and didn't even know how to play. Now, a year later he is the sweetest happiest dog and loves to play with neighbor friend Diesal. His mommy and daddy love ❤️ him so much. His aunt loves ❤️ him too. His name is Louie.

That's so sad someone threw a hunting dog out and her bones jutted out everywhere and my wolves took her in so of course she had to be rescued by me and it took 8 months to get weight on and she's beautiful now.

Good goy hits hard

I feel so much for Oscar because I have rescued a pup from a puppy mill- poor baby is the runt of the litter, the skinniest and basically on the verge of starving to death and we gave him the most love and now he is the chunkiest puppy- still scared of a lot of new things, but he is getting better and very food motivated, god bless you and everyone you care about Rocky and god bless Oscar and hope he goes to a loving and nurturing family ❤❤

I'm wondering how many of you folks watching call/wake up your dogs to give/get a cuddle when watching or is it just me with tears streaming down my face desperate to show my beautiful pup (2.5 year old black lab Floki) how much I love him. Watching this poor sweet neglected dog experiencing the "good boy" the scoop & treats for the first time is sooooo heartbreaking😢❤😢❤😢❤

Why isn’t he a black lab mix? I call it being pigeon toed when they toe in. You are a little to strong with the head rubbing sometimes. His muscles are too weak for rough handling. Be very gentle please. He could even have some boxer because of the white patch on his chest.

The part where you were explaining about how good the dog food is and the little one was like “Really? 🥺”

Every bone is showing, he wouldn’t have lasted much longer if he hadn’t been saved.

Rocky..... please call "pit bulls" Staffy's (Staffordshire Bull Terriers) instead, it might make a difference? In UK thats the name we use for dogs that look like Oscar (usually not emaciated!!) I think it sounds much better? do you??
