Soooooo knee to the head in amateurs...yay or nay???
I don’t agree with no knees. It’s an mma fight, it’s supposed to be as close to a real fight as possible with reasonable and fair rules such as no hitting the nuts and grabbing the cage, but knees to the head are NOT unfair. In amateur I guess it makes sense because they’re up and coming and they’re not getting paid a lot so if they need to go to the hospital, they’re not covered for that, but I’m not sure if a KO from a knee is that much worse than a KO from a punch such as a powerful uppercut or hook and those aren’t illegal. I guess the potential to cut up the fighters is also a good reason to not have knees and elbows, but that’s about all that makes sense to me.
