The negative audience reaction isn't really justified in this case. This isn't Tetris, the only real goal is to lay out synergistic land for your buildings and defeat the enemy.
If this was REAL Tetris, THEN the peoples' screaming would be warranted.

Watching RT actually play pretty well but getting a bunch of screaming from the backseat, I can understand why he's so easy to slip into villain roles

Is it a problem if I don't see the issue with Dan's tetris here aside from the obvious "holes"

This game is very interesting. Of course every good roguelike features building up your synergies, but I've yet to see one that also has tearing down your opponents'. Sabotaging their build to give them as little of an edge as possible, now that's something.

I don't know what else I expected when I saw that RT is playing Tetris again...

I wanted more content and went to watch the stream, which was a mistake, because the stream archive contains all of the deliberating and confusion which was gracefully excluded from the edited version.
