In the event it does get me while in focus mode. It turns my item wheel into nothing but Capture nets.

Auto explore and manual controls yes, but auto move can save you from trouble in battle and will allow you to use items or manage your pouch without having to worry too much about getting hit

For PS gamers: Pressing and holding UP on D-Pad will toggle auto explore, pressing and holding down will turn auto-explore off.

I don't mind Auto. On PS5, R2 soft to slow down, R2 trigger down all the way for full stop. You can still steer it manually, but I like being able to focus on heal/sharpen/etc while my seikret automatically follows the monster optimally to it's next area.

I did find it weird that there was auto-move and auto-auto-move on by default

I just hate when i get knocked down and i call it to pick me up it goes and runs directly into the monster

My only issue still is that If you have targeted something it will auto-move there unless you specifically hit the breaks. Often enough I call seikret with the d-pad up so it automoves to my target monster, but if I want to open my map it keeps moving unless I hit the breaks. It really acts like a car and I hate it.

I kinda like it that way because it makes the seikret feel like an actual animal

real ones keep auto explore on to let their seikret explore and have fun :)

If you have a set waypoint, auto explore takes you straight to it. I treat the bird as a chauffeur between fight locations but other a totally independent entity and keep off of him near the hunt target. It feels like most weapon’s best option in combat riding him are jump off —> mount, so I don’t have a lot of issue with having to avoid hits lol. I think the design is 10/10 perfection for the setting and Seikrets are quickly becoming one of my favorite new monsters.

Dpad down seems to disable the auto wander

If you really want to remove all personality from the character that is your Seikret then sure. You can just treat it like a car or bike.

It’s really fun and rewarding to work with and interact with your Seikret like the living and thinking creature it’s meant to be.

Is there any way to stop your seikret from running in front of you during a hunt??

You mean I can stop the secret from being the dog from last guardian!?

you do know seikret "auto explores" allowing you to navigate secret areas in the map that is how i found the waterfall cave in scarlet forest i just let it roam.

Rise ruined the franchise, they need to remove these stupid chickens and go back to using the lambofeeties

They need to improve the Cats AI.

Or just press the intended button to disable it for a while if you're in the base or looking in the map to set a waypoint. Hehe. Coz I really like to keep it on coz it saves me many times from monsters who are just 1 hit away from sending my ass back to base. Hahaha

you can press R2 on controller and he stopps. There has to be a button on pc to make him stop. Its not that hard right? Or does he then start walking off after some seconds again?

auto move is really good, if your controller disconnects you're not dead... It's janky but it has a purpose...

I would really like for the seikreits of my teammates to be invisible when not riding them as they are super anoying runing around and blocking the camera when when moving, a lot of times the have block my rolls or even push me into enemy fire
