WHY PAY MORE?! M4 13” iPad Pro vs M2 13” iPad Air

Literally the only reason I got an air instead of the pro is because greedy Apple decided to make the new pro incompatible with the old Magic Keyboard. So If i wanted the pro, I would have to spend $300 on ANOTHER Magic Keyboard, which is a downgrade in some sense because it doesn’t even have backlit keys like the one I already have….

Pro has PWM, Air does not. Case closed😶

Very helpful, but one thing I need to know - Can you use Microsoft Office applications (word, excel, powerpoint) on the iPad? I was wondering if I get an iPad and I have a mac mini m4 with office on it, can I use the iPad in lieu of a macbook air. If not, I am probably best to get the macbook air, and not the iPad and mac mini m4.

why would you use 2 different wallpapers when comparing the screens?. .trying to find an unbiased comparison video is not easy

What really bugs me is the relatively large size of the app icons on the 13 inch display. It feels like a lot of wasted screen real estate. I wish you could resize the icons like you can on a MacBook desktop. On reflection I think I should have got the 11inch, saved some money and had a more portable device with better scaled icons. However it is amazing for drawing (especially on infinite canvas apps like Concepts) and viewing movies!

My eyes can’t see the difference between 60 hz and anything higher.
So between the two. The less expensive in 512 would be the choice.

My two cents: Great presentation of the finer details both pro and con and, unlike most other reviewers, you remember the refurbished store.  

Secondly, if the potential buyer is in the Apple eco-system and have a MacBook Pro/Max or even an iMac, the "lesser" screen quality of the Air could make it more compelling. I'd rather watch videos on MacBook Pro 16" so an Air, even an 11" iPad Air, works for me. If I had no other high quality screen I'm pretty sure I'd get the iPad Pro 13"; i can rationalize anything!

I got the M2 13in iPad Air and never regretted it, it’s a great tablet that’s light, quick and far better than my old 13in iPad Pro.

People buy boats, jet skis and cars….and 150,000 diesel trucks they don’t pull anything with. Who cares about few hundred bucks more an iPad? Sears used to sell plasma TVs for 5 grand and up….nobody needs to justify being a pro to buy a pro iPad! Just quit😮😮😮

I got an iPad Pro 13 inch M4 but the screen looked grainy. I’m an artist and this is unacceptable. My iPad Pro 12.9 inch M2 screen was smooth and the pixels looked beautiful.

How about playing zelda by connecting the switch by capture card. Is it m2 enough?

For audio comparisons you should volume match, unless you had both on max and the volume difference was the point.

You’ve never done a battery test of the prior iPads prior to the release of M2 Air and M4 iPad Pro’s. You said you would be doing a battery test but you never did it.

I’ve got the 256 M4 iPad Pro (I get the newer models so I get security updates for longer) and I’m glad I did; I’m starting Uni in October and I do a lot of gaming on my tablets so this will definitely help me out

Is it worth it to switch a gen 5 iPad Air to a m4 iPad Pro 13?

So Air 13" 256gb+5g is £1,050, Pro 256gb+5g - £1,499 and upgrading to 512GB it's £1,699 (ouch!). I just won an M1 12.9" 512GB+5G on eBay in immaculate condtion for £570, that's a third of the price! - and it still has a very impressive ProMotion display, the same one you get on the 14" Macbooks, so it actually pairs better as an external display.
