Noticed that the ground is bear around your plants? Perhaps an environmental overlook, but shouldn't you be trying to protect the top soil even in a "grow bed"?

I noticed you have the japenese maples in direct sun. I thought they had to be in the shade. I had one in the dappled shade and it died.

I’m a zone 4 is there a Japanese maple or other tree like it that would grow in my area? I’ve been told zone 5 Japanese maple would not make it.

This is BS. You know your not getting a $350 plant for $11.95 wholesale, but a lot of people that watch this will actually believe you are! You should tell them how big these cheap plants really are because they are no where near what you have in your landscape.
