Should I silicone the trim to the flooring??
ОтветитьNice work on your video. Appropriately articulate regarding vernacular and require required methods of prep.
ОтветитьThank you for this video. Very good information and easy to follow.
ОтветитьThank You 😊
ОтветитьThe second piece you laid, that you cut at about 8 inches, do you then cut every other piece you lay next to that one as to stager them? Or did you cut every piece after the first one at around 8 inches?
Ответить22 mm is over .85 inch.
ОтветитьGreat video. Curios, why no plastic sheeting under LVP?
Ответитьdo you leave 1/4 on all walls or just some?
ОтветитьWear layer is not 22mm it’s 22 mil. They’re not the same. 2.2cm of wear layer would be insane lol.
ОтветитьDo you use the spacers only on the starting side of the wall or do you place them on every side?
Ответитьdue to excessive concrete moisture and no underlayment my 5 year old vinyl plank floor is getting bad. What can be done to make the floor last for another few years? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
ОтветитьHey my friend, don't you need a vapor barrier over the concrete floor before installing the vinyl floor?
ОтветитьHey Josh, great video! I recently tackled a similar project in my basement using LifeProof vinyl plank flooring as well. I can attest to how easy the click-lock installation is, especially on a concrete subfloor.
I went with the "Sterling Oak" color as well, and it looks fantastic! The attached underlayment really helps with comfort, especially since we spend a lot of time down there. I did run into a bit of trouble around a couple of door frames, but your tip about undercutting the drywall was spot on—it made the installation smoother.
One thing I learned the hard way was to really clean the concrete before starting. I thought I'd vacuumed well enough, but some dust ended up creating little bumps under the planks. If anyone’s doing this, make sure the surface is immaculate!
Thanks for sharing this detailed guide; it’s super helpful for DIYers like me. Looking forward to more of your content!
No vapor barrier or subfloor on concrete ?
ОтветитьThank you for this video. Going to save a lot of aggravation.
ОтветитьGreat tips. I'm ready to do my first plank project. Thanks
ОтветитьSo what do the spacers do? I’m so confused
ОтветитьIf there are baseboards, would we have to remove that before installing?
ОтветитьThat was epic and you explained great and professionally my friend
ОтветитьWhat blade are you using for your multi tool?
ОтветитьExcellent video, I already bout my flooring and watching your video, my installation became much more easier.
ОтветитьHelp
ОтветитьWhat do you do if it keeps popping up
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ответитьthank you for making these awesome videos.
Please make a video series of Basment build for Canadian homes (extreme winter climate) on a new unfinished basement covering all aspects from insulating below grade walls the right way to the end product. I know a lot of people will appreciate these videos.
Cheers!
Would you recommend an underlayment like the DMX? Or is it more of a gimmick. Thanks!
Ответитьdid my floor today. thanks for the tips. Back hurts (I'm 64) but wife is very happy!
Ответитьbest video I have seen so far on vinyl flooring, thanks

ОтветитьWould you recommend putting this in a house that will be used as a rental? I always think the worst and I wouldn't want to get a tenant that would run water all over it and I'd end up having to replace it all with the cost of all the material.

ОтветитьHow do you feel about laying LVP over a laminate floor ? Laminate is good shape, just wanna go with something else..
ОтветитьYou have saved me thousands of dollars. Thank you sir!
Ответитьit cuts easier than hardwood floors a d some of us with canine families it makes sense 😊
Ответитьbecause I am on a tight budget that’s why
Ответитьlucky for you
ОтветитьIm not planning to remove my baseboard trim before installing my lvp. However, the baseboard trims are installed high enough off the ground to where i can easily slide the lvp under if needed. To account for expansion, I plan to just lay the lvp edge flush to where the baseboard ends so there'll be atleast 1/4-1/2 of space to the drywall. Ill cover this up after with shoe moulding. Would this method work fine if i prefer to not remove the baseboard trim?
Ответить.
ОтветитьHey- question on drywall gaps at floor level. I have 2 walls with a drywall gap of 1/2” and depth of 3/4” if you push the LVP into it. Wondering if I should put something in the gap? Thinking over time if I don’t flooring will move into the gap causing problems. Thoughts?
ОтветитьYou forgetting 6mil plastic for moisture barrier.. it’s a must on concrete
ОтветитьBro definitely has to be from Western PA
ОтветитьGet yourself a Wonder Pry bar and a multi tool .I have same flooring and color in master bedroom and bathroom.Lots of caveats in the manufacturer guide,Steam on Low setting is approved but they recommend a ph neutral cleaner... Sam's Club has a concentrated floor cleaner that is PH neutral that is wonderful.Where tub meets flooring I used a caulking tape to seal but also allows for movement.Stair installation voids warranty automatically, they do have a underlayment for this flooring but I used a clear sealer made for flooring.Great video lots of tips and tricks for diy ty
ОтветитьDo i have to use moisture barrier?
ОтветитьI’d use a 12” speed square so I didn’t need to do 2 cuts😊
ОтветитьUsing this garbage in my basement, I can't figure out why it won't snap into place/why it keeps popping up. Sure wish I could use real wood and an air nailer, but I'm on concrete so I'm stuck.
ОтветитьThe show so easy but not easy like show. The pieces cannot lock each other.
ОтветитьNo underlayment/moisture barrier between the concrete and the vinyl planks? 🤔
Ответить
