TOW slanders the Royal Family continuously. Trots out her version of her life, past, present, and future. Wallis hoped to be Queen. When that didn't happen, she moved forward with class, and her mouth firmly shut. TOW is far worse. there is a comparison, obviously, but the manner of Wallis and TOW are markedly different. It's odd how two members of the same family managed to do the exact same thing decades apart.

With the greatest of respect and, as bad as we may see madam, she is nowhere near to Wallis Simpson. She was almost certainly a Nazi sympathizer who allegedly liked to sleep with von Ribbentrop when he was German Ambassador to the UK. He was later to hang for war crimes.

H is weak & useless. His profound deficits were concealed by the palace. They were able to prop him up but now we see the real person & it’s not pretty.

Fascinating how so many people seem to prefer Wallis nowadays despite Wallis's breathtakingly bad politics and their wartime activities. The one thing Wallis did right was keep schtum. Wallis always conducted herself with grace in public. She unfortunately got herself mixed up with that feckless Prince of Wales who became King Edward VIII for 5 minutes. I was heavily influenced by a book called “The Windsors at War.” People! Wallis slept with Nazis! Both her and Edward were “inadvertently” turning over perceived state secrets. They could have been arrested for treason!
Meghan is just a washed out actress who got her butt hurt because she isn’t as important as Catherine. She isn’t that important! Meghan is a nobody. Wallis was sleeping with the enemy. She and Edward’s were hoping the Nazis would return them to the throne once King George was removed. Queen Elizabeth would never have ascended had that worked.

Please please please HG read or listen to Traitor King. I have determined Wallis AND David/Edward to be egregious narcissist. The Book is compelling. And its not long before you realize that the both of them were full blown outrageous narcissist. The stories of this book indicate that she didnt even hardly like David. But please do one of your deep dives on those two. I think this audience and you will find it absolutely fascinating.

Megnut is nothing like Wallis Simpson. Wallis was charming, stylish and thoughtful. There’s numerous recollections about Wallis running into people who she hadn’t spoken with in years and being able to recall their last conversation and ask thoughtful, precise and appropriate follow up questions about them and whatever subject they had discussed last. Wallis didn’t want to marry the Prince of Wales, she was a gracious host and a kind friend. I feel terrible that Mrs Wallis Simpson is being compared to the frowzy and tacky Megnut, it’s actually a terrible insult to a woman who had a very difficult life and who did the best she could in good faith.

I have also read (somewhere) that Wallis did not necessarily want to marry David - she may have been content to carry on partying and play the mistress role to the future king - but was compelled to marry when he chose to abdicate. Either way, narc traits, but not necessarily NPD. It's interesting to consider how things might have gone were Harry born first: he would still have inherited the hypersensitive nature but might have been more aware of wifely expectations.

She says she knew nothing about the Royal Family before Harry. She lied. She did her research, her homework. Look at the design of her out they mirror Simpson’s style. She copies and plagiarises everything she does. She infiltrated the Monarchy, she had her own agenda. But the late Queen Elizabeth II was way ahead of her. The Crown must be protected, that is where MM failed.

Markle is so much worse than Wallis who didn't malign the Royal Family and lived a reasonably quiet life unlike the ubiquitous Markle who never shuts up or goes away, her viciousness knows no bounds. Harry is such a weak individual, no backbone whatsoever

This comparison is a point where I actually like what Sussex is doing. Wallis was far more terrified, but to her credit she really didn't want to marry David. I think the royal family can handle a Wallis or a Markle, everyone has black sheep. I don't agree she's done any real damage apart from family squabbles. She certainly isn't really damaging the monarchy. The royal family just looks better and better.

Wallis was blamed for the abdication but was it she who drove it forward? As others have said she did not want to marry him. She was married already I think, and he was said to have been far more enamored of her, than she of him (that might be one parallel.) Maybe if someone is famous or powerful, the one who does not fawn over them is more intriguing?

Wallis was regarded as having style and taste. Scotty Bowers' comments on the pair might be interesting. I don't feel he was a liar. Whatever their private arrangement was, was their own concern, of course. More worrisome was who gave them a gold box for a wedding gift.

Maybe Wally saved the monarchy by causing Edward VIII to abdicate. Edward did have connections with Nazis and Hitler was one of them.
