First!
ОтветитьYeah, your pricing breakdown is spot on. At first I didn't think like that, but after asking around for lesson prices, 4x30min sessions were like $120 usd on average around here. Though, one thing I wish I would have done when I started (almost a year ago) was taken at least 1 month of lessons or tried one of Guitar Center's free lessons, because every beginner guitar course I have looked at never really cover your posture. I've seen my posture change throughout learning the past year, and I also noticed your posture change as you went on from last year. Not huge changes but enough to realize we might not have been all that comfortable from the get go, like we were about to fall off the track.
ОтветитьHi Luke. Great review! I have been following Paul Davids on YT like many and he definitely seems to be in a league of his own. I really enjoyed watching him as he helped Mary Spender playing a John Mayer song for instance (and she's pretty talented, which says a lot about Paul). A question came to my mind after your review: would you have seen yourself doing that course in your first week of learning guitar? That course looks to me like a more advanced beginner boot-camp or master class to transition to his more intermediate advanced course.
ОтветитьFirst, thank you for doing these. They are really helpful. I was actually skeptical of his course because, like you said, his channels seems more devoted to at least low level intermediate players. Even when he says beginner stuff I think, "Yeah, I've been playing for a decent amount of time and this wouldn't be easy for me, much less a true beginner."
That being said, he's an amazing guitar player and is clearly very smart. Just think it would make more sense for him to focus on the intermediate content. Folks looking to go to the next level and/or add polish to existing skills is probably his bread and butter.
Would love if you eventually did some courses that you feel are good for making sure someone goes from beginner to solidly intermediate. The problem I have is it's really hard to know if I'm on the verge of being an advanced beginner or if I'm solidly intermediate? I would pay a premium for a course that focused on that next level.
wow... this is just fantastic.. brilliant.. crispy sound.. great work.. love the way you presented.. the complete screen in filled with information.. awesome background.. Pls chk the latest father daughter production on my channel. 😊
ОтветитьI’ve always been interested if Paul David’s class was worth it! Thanks for the video!
ОтветитьIf you have any questions or queries about the course, please let me know in the comments below and I will do my best to answer them.
ОтветитьHe’s a truly superb musician, but you are spot on, his channel seems to be geared towards competent intermediate players and it was the reason why I opted for Justin’s (I’ve gone for the paid option at the moment). Cheers 😊
ОтветитьPlease review Brandon D'eon 's Course which costs around 1000 dollars but I don't find any reviews. He he speaks very highly of his course and I am intrigued. I am torn between that and Paul David's courses.
ОтветитьIm thinking about getting this one or samurai guitars course, but I wanna pick the right one cause Its quite a bit of money, but im afraid the one I pick will be underwhelming and boring, but at the same time I do want theory so that i can learn to play my own music and doodle so I expect SOME boredom
ОтветитьI’m really having a hard time finding the right one for me.
I’m definitely not a “newbie”. But doubt I’m a full on intermediate player. Some courses (ie fender play) are too basic for me.
Very frustrating. A guitar teacher might be able to identify where you’re at in about 30 mins but the online courses don’t have that option obviously.
Ugh. Frustrated.
Thanks so much for the in-depth review! I’m a left handed complete beginner (don’t know how to read music) and checking if you recommend this course for someone like myself? Cheers. Rory
ОтветитьGood review. I’m a fan of Paul’s videos but I watch them for entertainment and not for learning as they’re mostly beyond me so it’s interesting to hear what the course is like.
ОтветитьThank you for a really fair and well thought out review.
ОтветитьI suspect the reason for the lack of popular songs is thw necessity of licensing them.
ОтветитьFantastic review. Thanks for this. I wish you would review one of the music theory for guitar.com's courses. They are too expensive for me to consider at this time but I wish I could see/read a review that wasn't part of their official marketing.
Anyway, great video, I'm about to check out what other videos you have and will subscribe if they are even half as good as this one. Thanks again.
This is exactly how you present a well-researched review. Well done sir. 👏👏
ОтветитьA review of YourGuitarSage would be greatly appreciated!
ОтветитьJust wanted to thank you for these videos, fyi I bought the same guitar and the same amp as yours been playing for 2 years and I never really learned anything other than the basic chords. Still can’t decide if I want to splash my money for the course though...
ОтветитьThanks for the upload, I wanted to see wanted to see how the course was set out before I took the plunge. I've tried Justin's course but I'm not feeling the love for it, nothing against Justin but I feel as though I'm not progressing.
ОтветитьLove this mate
ОтветитьExcellent review once again. I am an intermediate player, and I tried couple of paid learning sites and gave up the first week. It was not really what I was looking for. I thought about joining Paul as I have seen some of his videos and the chords he proposes are do great... Justin is still my favorite, and for free...
ОтветитьIdk if I should get this program or Steve stines
ОтветитьThank you ! This video answered many questions for me. Paul’s Learn, Practice Play course sounds perfect for me. And I appreciate your review of this course. Thank you again.
ОтветитьThis is the first video I have seen of yours. I really liked it, well balanced and considered. Great stuff.
ОтветитьWhich course or online would u suggest for learning rock and blues rock guitar?
Ответитьhi, does anyone have experience with Next Level Guitar course ? Paul's intermediate course. thank you. I'm thinking about buying
ОтветитьCan you do music is win
ОтветитьAmazing video and analysis 👏!!!!
ОтветитьI'v been playing for years as a self-taught bedroom guitarist. One thing that I'm always struggling with is remembering notes of the scales, notes of the freatboard and notes/chords of the song. I also don't read music well, except from guitar tabs. How efficient is this course in helping participants remembering scales, freatboard notes etc...?
ОтветитьThis was so helpful!
ОтветитьThank you for producing this video. It was very helpful.
Did you enroll in the advanced course and, if so, what was your experience.?
Thanks!
ОтветитьYou are my Hope for my long time dream Tobe guitarist.
ОтветитьGood review. Very fair.
ОтветитьGreat review of this course as I am looking to purchase a structured course to learn from. It would be great to see you do a review of Guitarzero2Hero course! Cheers
ОтветитьThank you for this.
ОтветитьThanks a lot for making this! This is exactly what I was. Looking for. I really appreciate you mentioning Justin JustinGuitar's free course! I didn't know about it until now
ОтветитьI took Pauls Program & completely satisfied. He showed his chops as an Educator & Academic in the way that he designed the Program & it rolled out. Bottom Line with ANY Program one chooses is to "stick with it". Playing everyday makes all difference and a way to optimize the Program you choose. If you want a solid basis and foundation for Guitar, Paul knows what he's doing & will give you enough to continue to build via other Videos' and Instructors.
ОтветитьPS - one more add what I liked about Paul Davids Beginner Program. It's simplicity. Sometimes TOO MUCH INFO gets overwhelming. If you follow along with Paul's Course, you will learn the Basics and truly LEARN. I often go back to review the Exercises in that Program and can actually see my Progress. (Pretty funny when I remember how much I struggled on certain Lessons & now breeze thru them). As far as $$, I took one on one 45 min Lesson in my Town with a Guitar Teacher for $50! it was the biggest waste of money I ever spent. As a Teacher, the In Town Instructor can't hold a candle and why I thought Paul Davids a bloody Bargain !
ОтветитьYes, can you review Lauren Bateman's 7-Level System? Thanks!
Ответить✌🏼
ОтветитьI would like you to do a review on Laura Bateman’s course all I hear are awesome things
