I did the cupcake task last year and do not have any quests for cupcakes this time around other than 5 for Scrooge. Is this correct or am I glitched?

I'm going to be honest: this event does not interest me at all for 3 reasons.

1: I'm not really into popcorn buckets. Look I understand the point of them (irl and in game), but personally there's no use to them for me. Irl I only have 1 popcorn bucket and it's from a movie, not a Disney park, and it was unique (hence why i got it).

2: when I first started this game, I never planned on turning my Valley into a city or city like place, or an amusement park for that matter.
I only see it as a valley with different biomes that can decorated however and I wanted to keep the valley look/vibes as I decorated the areas.

And 3: after watching your video on how to get/do everything, it all seems VERY complicated. From getting the various buttons, to doing the quests...it's just a lot to essentially accomplish little decorations/accessories.
At least with other events, they were easier to do and, to me, the rewards seemed better.

Waiiiiit my crafting gathering quest had totally different requirements like 15 rising green penstemons and 25 iron ingots and more on top of yours!!

Can you just make the squirrels companions?

Classic = Mon, Thu, Sat, Sun from 12pm -12am
Red = Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun from 12am-12pm
Gray = Tue, Wed, Sat, Sun from 12pm-12am
Black = Tue, Thu, Fri, Sun from 12am-12pm
White = Sun 10am-4pm

Thank you so much for this guide, Serroh! I've been playing DDV since the beginning, but I did have a few periods where I wasn't an active player. I completely missed the Dreamlight Parks Fest last year, so I was pretty confused when I saw a missing duty for Button Maker. I had no idea what that was about! I'm happy to be participating this year! Thank you for clarifying how the quests work (time gating, etc)! 😁

I never finished last year's buckets but my hoarding of buttons and flowers for a year has finally paid off! I still need a bunch of blue buttons though

@Serroh... i took McDuck in the Vitalis Mines and knocked it out in 1 yield. the Crystals count as 'gems mined'. who knew !! ;) i spent an hour, basically, with 3 diff fishing buddies.. and hit both the Meadow and the Beach ending with almost 500 blue buttons. in between switching fishing buddies, i went around with my sweeper and picked up the FLowers and Red buttons. happy hunting!

This event was poorly planned out. I have no chance of completing it in time due to the fact that some of the critters are time-locked and I'm not always home during the time certain ones are available because I work full time, so I'll never be able to get all the critter snaps quests done. I don't suppose there's any way around that is there? Would it matter if I set my internal clock to the time certain critters are available or would that not make any difference at all? I wasn't playing at the time this event was going on last year so I have to start from pretty much the beginning of the event. It's also kind of difficult to collect some of the flowers too as some of them only appear 2 or 3 at a time and I'd have to wait another day to collect more due to the low spawn rates. What they should have done was increase the spawn rates of the flowers to make collecting them a bit easier for those of us who can't play the game for hours on end because we have an actual life outside of the game.

Why did my crafting quest with Scrooge not show up??? To get rope, etc, to make the balloons and stuff. His mining quest showed up but not the crafting one

Not true about the elixir on the fishing rod… I had an Elixir on my rod and it popped up tons of purple fishing spots and they always gave blue buttons

I thought it was a bug for the fishing. I stood in the same spot for at least an hour catching buttons with my fishing buddy. I had over 100 buttons. I’m not complaining I hope this is one bug they don’t fix 😂😂😂

My cupcake quests aren’t coming up at all for any of the characters. I got the recipes from Scrooge and did his decoration quests and started the Mirabel quest, but the cupcake quests aren’t showing up at all😭

I am very grateful for the return of this event as last year I had a bug which wouldn't give me blue buttons

Seems they nerfed the cupcakes because I remember last year being all 5 characters everyday. But the only one that has a cupcake quest is Wall-e. So now it just rotates between the 5 characters I’m assuming? It’s not very clear & a bit confusing.

I did scrooge mining quest in vidalis mines. Went quick

So to get new buckets u have to craft old popcorn buckets from last year right

I don’t have dug in my crafting station I don’t know how to unlock new buckets

I hope that the Inside Out one comes back because I was on the last pet when it ended and never got to finish it

I forgot to look for a villager with a purple quest bubble yesterday; Ursula was the cupcake quest for me today, I’m still doing Maribel’s squirrel quest (have 1 left) and Scrooge’s quest for today was to mine oval shaped gems and yesterday it was square ones.

Also, I had Scrooge with me both days, I dont remember what he gave me (if he gave me anything!!) either days and I’ve not had the gather items to deco for Scrooge (unless it’s becuz i finished the parks quest last year??!!??)

Any help or advice? Thx

Parks fest is a pass for me. Was hoping for theme park ride items since I'm newer. I'm not grinding and depleting my resources for popcorn buckets.

I sold my green buttons from mickey by accident yesterday 😩

SOOO thankful us OG players did this last year. I was able to gift some resources to my new player friends. I remember how daunting it can get to grind.

I crafted all 50 cupcakes in one go and went around and gave them out and it said complete.

Anyone have the issue of not getting your scrooge buttons? i completed the mining quest and unfortunately when he went to give me my green buttons, my inventory was full so i went to drop something expecting the buttons to be on the ground maybe but they were not and i just didn’t receive them 😢

That's why I made a sub list so I can't lose the ones I really like a keep get unsubscribed. Or my brother delete my channel again

So, I just finished the 50 cupcakes. I made 10 of each kind, and then picked a character and gave 5 to the same character, went on to another character and gave them 5 of each of the different cupcakes, rinse and repeat with a different character until I completed the sweet samaritan duty in the events tab. Hope this helps someone! This is my first year taking part in this whole park fest event….as I didn’t have DLV until almost start of Fall last year. So glad I googled “games to play on Apple Arcade when you are sick” 😂 and I have loved the game ever since! 🎉 Thank you for this video as well …it was helpful !

Anyone elses squirrel quest glitched?

My daily tasks don't show up and don't have decorate quests either have restarted and still the same thing.

Still cant get the weekly quest to show up no matter what i do

I got the two quest to make stitches cookies and mining but didn’t get the starting quest to decorate….this is bogus and a bummer since I am just now able to play this again and time limit effects everything

My weekly is not popping up for some reason... I've tried the mining trick but no luck

I can’t get the mine popcorn bucket even though I have all the things for it for some reason

I am about to give up on this game and I've spent hundreds of dollars on it. First, I can't finish the Furniture Fluster because of a tulip vase stuck in Aladdin's house. Then I finished Level 7 of the Cheshire Cat and never got the uncrafting station or quest for it and CC is not level 8 with nothing. so now I can't use the uncrafting station to uncraft the previous popcorn bucket so I can remake them to clear the items related to them. I am so angry at this game and at Game Loft.
