I know it is dynamic day to day, but watching the convection and storms forming up this afternoon is hinting at systems that eyes may not be prepared to see just yet.

A major hurricane is expected to hit the United States this year. Hopefully not Florida I hope but we can’t let our guard down.

Excellent analysis Naz als always. Thanks! Interesting to see these Early forecasts as well. Just possibilities for US landfall for now. Possibly a wide range or out to sea too. If I remember correctly about 10 days out is when we have better agreement of the model runs and landfall forecast accurate to about 150; miles or so. Friday and on is when I'm going to pay closer attention.

Puerto Rico needs to watch this AOI. Euro is showing a tropical storm by the 5th of September. Long way out, but not that far out.

2019 was a later hurricane season. Two days of Cat 2 Hurricane Sally in October, because I remember that I left the country for three months, after it hit, and were constantly with lockdowns because of Covid 19, before the vaccine rollouts. I remember thinking that I was maybe going to have to figure out how to get a water taxi to get to the airport, because of how much the main bridge affected. Toll bridge further away wasn't affected, and tolls were wavered for a while. Thanks for the report update Nazario.

It very well could be a backloaded season. I well go back and look at the hurricane seasons to see which ones were back loaded and then maybe from there, you can look into the historical data to see what caused it.
