Final Cut might be coming to its end for me lol
ОтветитьI'm using both ...... FCP is still faster for me.
ОтветитьI like your videos :) especially from audio perspective, could you make a "detail" video about it? and to the FCP, yea, I think is good but not the best :(
ОтветитьNice video. I use both and yeah DR is feature packed but I like FCP for its simplicity.
ОтветитьYeah, they’re different… but I find FCP waaay easier to use! It’s a Tesla to DVR’s F1
ОтветитьVery sad, Tim Cook😆
ОтветитьThe thing is, there aren't many missing features on FCPX to make us stick to it, but the ones missing are crucial at the moment. Keyframe editor is a huge one as you mentioned, caption templates/titles, better color grading tools and features, a native beauty mode like CapCut's... that'd make it more competitive IMHO.
ОтветитьThe thing is, FCP is still 2x more easy to use. Its fast and the workflow with motion is just awesome. Yea DVR is more cutting edge, but there is no way im switching for features I would rarely use anyway. Being a self-employed videographer I value time and a good workflow over anything.
Good video mate!
I think people really don’t need another 100 new features. We really want a good workflow and a product that less you work faster. Final Cut allows me to do that without needing a degree to figure out the 100 features. Great video
ОтветитьWe use Final Cut at the office due to simplicity and reliability.
Ответитьonce fcp added magnetic mask it's all I need
ОтветитьTake My Money!
ОтветитьFCP was great when they had version 7 and then they decided to create a iMove Pro version out of it. This people had Shake a Fusion version, advance at that time, SoundTrack, a very capable Daw for his time, and of course, Color, this application was, $25,000, at the time they acquire Final Touch from Silicon Color, that send shock waves, in this industry, when they announce FCP was going to have, a robust color grading app like that, we all had huge hopes for this NLE, then Steve past away and they forgot this NLE, it had all the tools to be the best if they kept working on what they had at that time, it was not on the vision of the now CEO, and thats easy to see. Will it ever be as good again, Blackmagic commitment with the professional community is so strong, it will take someone like Jobs, to make it happen, Steve pick again the wrong guy to do the Job, this dude its there to exploit the company and don't care for the people who put them there, the people who brought them to the position they are in. It's that simple.
Ответитьimovie for me.
Ответить"100 new features..."
And maybe 3 of them actually affect me (Magic Mask v2, Source Tape view on the Edit page, and beat detection). The keyframe/spline editors on the Edit page would be my top absolute favorite feature in Resolve... however, they are still missing features that even the Fusion spline editor has and most importantly, do not work at all with Fusion effects, which is what I use almost exclusively. Blackmagic does not communicate with anyone about what they are working on ever, so I have no idea if they are working on getting the new editors to work with Fusion effects. If not, then these new editors are going to be essentially useless to me which will be a huge bummer. So yeah, v20 is very much a mixed bag for me with only a few minor improvements that actually impact me.
Agreed. I am not a top notch editor, but I´m working through to get there. I prefer simple tools that not overwhelm me; I don´t want a plane control panel... FCPX is really good and I am getting back to it after a long time. It is faster and simpler and I think, like an old classic movie that was a sleeper, editors should give this one another go. Davinci is great, I know, but, if you are on your own, you can get very far along the way no matter what tool you use. Great video and keep em coming, man. Cheers.
ОтветитьAs a working for photographer for over 35 years , solo mobile storyteller for the past 10 years and now semi retired, I've bounced back and forth between both apps (which irritates me to no end as I want just one app to get my projects done). I just want the app to stay out of my way. Each has it's strengths and weaknesses but in my case, shooting with mobile devices and compact drones, Final Cut clearly leads in productivity, speed and ease of use. I've used PPro, Vegas Pro (when I was editing on Windows) Resolve (Mac, Windows and Linux) and Final Cut. TBH, Vegas Pro was the easiest and most efficient NLE but it's a minuscule market segment and is designed for Windows only. When I moved to all Apple devices, I paid for Final Cut and didn't give it much thought as I initially found the interface frustrating compared to using Resolve. But Resolve just made editing a chore, and I could never get my footage to look right. I finally relented and made myself learn the basics of FCP and dropping mixed source material on the timeline, I literally saw my footage look better out of the gate and that basically sold me on Final Cut. Resolve is a great app but it's overkill for the majority of users IMO, and if you're editing on an iPad, you can round trip seamlessly back and forth. Final Cut for iPad is one way from the device to desktop and its a kludge using Transfer Toolbox to go back to the FCP for iPad. I'm still trying to wrap my head around learning Final Cut and it's editing methodology but from editing speed/efficiency and getting projects cut and rendered with minimal tweaking, Final Cut wins hands down versus Resolve (in my case)... Change my mind...
