Cooking with Dana Gaulin Writes. AMAZING CREAMY MAC N CHEESE

I know it has been a long while since I have posted a video, or been on a writing live stream. I am currently getting things squared away, and plan my return for September 9th, 2019. Until then I hope you enjoy this video of one of my families best-loved recipes.

Ingredients
8 oz macaroni
1/2 stick butter
1/4 c all-purpose flour
2 c milk
6 oz Velveeta cheese (cut in small chunks) I do not use Velveeta, I use Colby Jack
1. 16oz cream cheese
1 pkg cheese, shredded
salt and pepper
Directions
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook macaroni. Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour to make a paste, gradually whisk in milk. Bring to a simmer over medium heat until thickened about 1 minute. Add cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir macaroni into the cheese sauce. Put in a baking dish and bake uncovered 20-25 minutes. This is not an exact time, if you double or triple the recipe you will need to also double or triple the baking time. Last 5 minutes add shredded cheese to the top and bake until golden brown.
