When i was 7 i found a bat in a cave near my house it let me pick it up and i walked almost a mile to my house to show my brother and the bat didnt bite me until i started running with it , i got excited wanting to show my brother and i guess the bat got scared. I dropped him when he bit me and he got away so no one knew if he had rabies so i had to get 7 shots to avoid possibly getting rabies. But i doubt the bat was infected because he didnt bite me until i ran and he got scared. And i definitely did notice the bite, it hurt thats why i dropped him lol

Pretty sure Vampire stories trace back to people getting rabies from bats. Dracula was bit by a bat.
