Soldiers assigned to U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) qualify on M17 pistol and M4 carbine at Cao Malnisio, Pordenone, Italy on Sept. 26, 2023. The Soldiers at this exercise conducted an Engagement Skills Trainer Exercise (EST) the week prior to their qualification to ensure maximum efficiency with their weapons. SETAF-AF provides U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Army Europe & Africa a dedicated headquarters to synchronize Army activities in Africa and scalable crisis response options in Africa and Europe.
