THE WIGAN FLIGHT: A Narrowboat Journey up the Countries Toughest Locks Ep.214

That flight is a really cool feat of engineering, especially since it was built over 200 years ago.
It must be a huge relief to finally get through the last lock though,. Tough work even with help!

What good friends you have, I am so glad that you didn’t try to do them Paul. They did a great job helping you out as well as Saul. The by-washes look scary. That one lock had a ton of vegetation on its side. That was one long cruise. Sorry you are still feeling poorly Anthony, but I have to say that I love the look of the hair slicked back 😊. Take care and so glad to hear that Dexter has his appetite back.

WOW what at journey - those locks were all scary upon entry I would have been frightened that the front would be covered in water n come inside but I spose it looks worse than is.... great team work from everyone. I do hope both of you are better now cheers Debz from Oz

Hi Guys, three attempts to moor up doesn't seem that big a problem. Until it's me trying to moor up. :-) same goes for the byewashes. They don't appear to be too difficult until I am trying to steer past them into a lock. :-) I am still adapting to life on the water and our narrow boat. It is a process and I am enjoying my 'journey' and watching you on yours. Love from Jen and me.

Hi guys, you mentioned you would maybe go for a 58ft long boat if you had your time again. Why not larger, why not 70ft for the extra space? Just curious as hopefully looking to get a boat in the next year or so.
