That flight is a really cool feat of engineering, especially since it was built over 200 years ago.
It must be a huge relief to finally get through the last lock though,. Tough work even with help!
What good friends you have, I am so glad that you didn’t try to do them Paul. They did a great job helping you out as well as Saul. The by-washes look scary. That one lock had a ton of vegetation on its side. That was one long cruise. Sorry you are still feeling poorly Anthony, but I have to say that I love the look of the hair slicked back 😊. Take care and so glad to hear that Dexter has his appetite back.
🤗😊❤️🐾 Kathy
Think you owe the lock mob a big meal at a great pub.
ОтветитьHey Guys- Wow, 26 locks! 😮 That's A LOT of locks! What wonderful friends to help you out! Big shout out to Fiona & Jude & Martin & Mandela!👏 Paul, hope your eye is improving every day & that Paris is still in the plans! Big hug to you both & scritches for sweet Dexter! ❤️🐾🐾

ОтветитьWhat a blessing, to have a fine crew when you need them! Hope this finds you well; thanks for inviting us along! 💖
ОтветитьWOW what at journey - those locks were all scary upon entry I would have been frightened that the front would be covered in water n come inside but I spose it looks worse than is.... great team work from everyone. I do hope both of you are better now cheers Debz from Oz
ОтветитьThank goodness for good friends So good to meet you both at Crick in a rainstorm!! 🎉
ОтветитьHi guys
Looks an exhausting trip up the Wigan flight locks, but luckily good friends, who helped you up. Hope you recovered Anthony from your cold etc. And Paul your eye is better, and Dexter is good.
We are both full of lurgy again.
Have a good weekend. Xx
Shame we were away in the US or we'd have definitely been up for helping, practice run for us! Great vlog as always guys. Take care❤
ОтветитьAnother great vid guys, it is so nice to see you guys every week and to see how you are getting on.
The community on the canals seem so great, I know that there are some who may be a little off, however, seems to me that the majority of the boaters are helpful and kind people.
Hi guys
So pleased to hear Dexter is better ,but sorry to hear you are poorly Antony and hope your eye is getting better Paul. I had a bloodshot eye for 3 days and it really got me down, did think of you. Hope you both feel better soon.
Shows what lovely couple you are to have so many super friends come and help.
Look after yourselves and Dexter.
Chris and Derek. ❤
Hi Guys, three attempts to moor up doesn't seem that big a problem. Until it's me trying to moor up. :-) same goes for the byewashes. They don't appear to be too difficult until I am trying to steer past them into a lock. :-) I am still adapting to life on the water and our narrow boat. It is a process and I am enjoying my 'journey' and watching you on yours. Love from Jen and me.
ОтветитьWhat a wonderful community!! I was almost exhausted just watching this journey! Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьWow, that’s a lot of locks. You have such wonderful friends. Hope you get over your cold Anthony and hope your eye is perfect soon Paul. Cheers.
ОтветитьWhat a lovely journey, made better by the help from friends.
ОтветитьWe would have brought you all Wigan pies when you got to top lock if we’d known! 😋
ОтветитьNot the stereotypical view of Wigan😋
ОтветитьIt’s lovely that you’re surrounded by such kind, faithful friends. Cheers. 😘🙌🐶
ОтветитьHow nice that you had some lovely help. Hope Anthony is over the cold and that Paul's eye continues to improve.
ОтветитьWe’re still traumatised by that flight! Great vlog xx
ОтветитьWhat a day of work when you both should likely have been resting up. Good friends are such a blessing in this world and not always easy to find. Hope you’re both feeling somewhat better.
ОтветитьWonderful vlogs.
Thank you 😊
Ooh that flight was hard work. So glad your lovely friends came and helped as it would have been a lot for Anthony and he was unwell. What troopers.
ОтветитьOne of my favourite places where you ended your video, if you are lucky you might just see the Deer from the woodland.
ОтветитьLove the journey you are on miss the canals so much, but i follow the journey through you and dexter xxx
ОтветитьBrilliant video as usual 👍🏼 Bet everybody slept well after all them locks 😂😂😂 Anthony needs a good hot toddie down him 👍🏼 fab video
ОтветитьThanks guys for taking us along on this epic adventure, even with your great friends it looked like very hard work. I hope that you three are doing well, have a great week. Take care and all the best. Stevie
ОтветитьGlad to see, Dexter has lots of opportunity to wee. You know, he is the star of the show. That bow thruster is really a good unit to have eh? And, ditto on congrat's on those locks. Video and story line outstanding.
ОтветитьWOW 26! That’s amazing! Do you know the elevation change from start to finish? Awards to you, Anthony, for working all those locks. Hopefully you both can relax for a while ❤❤
ОтветитьThank you , thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Wigan Flight in all of its glory !
ОтветитьMassive crew there helping out through that flight. Great to see everyone working as a team and flying through those locks. Team work sure does make the dream work 😊 xx
ОтветитьAnother great video. That is one heck of a flight! It was nice bumping into you again at the Crick boat show on the Friday. We weren’t stalking you honest! 🤣 I hope the eye is improving Paul. It took a long time for mine to get back to ‘normal’ a few years ago….so take it easy. All the best, Graham & Sally
ОтветитьPaul, good luck with your eye recovery.
ОтветитьCracking vid. Anyone else notice why the last pound was so low?
ОтветитьHi guys, you mentioned you would maybe go for a 58ft long boat if you had your time again. Why not larger, why not 70ft for the extra space? Just curious as hopefully looking to get a boat in the next year or so.
ОтветитьWhat a brilliant achievement - well done! Team work is just fabulous, good friends are wonderful xx
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic Narrowboat how does it compare to the old one as in costs to run thank you for allowing me to watch these
ОтветитьLoved your video guys. . . . what a lot of work through the locks. You have some wonderful friends around you. Hope all is well and enjoy yourselves.
ОтветитьThank you 😊
ОтветитьHow nice to have friends help you out. True friends don’t just turn up for the parties 🤗thanks once again for sharing your lives with us all. We never watch tv anymore, all because of bloggers like you ☮️
ОтветитьSo many locks! I am glad you had help. Those locks looked very leaky with terrible bywash!
ОтветитьWe've all had those days. Happy you all 3 made it back safely. Thank goodness for Mom & Dads .
ОтветитьSome time back i did see for some time two lads on Silver Fox . There boat build and the rest of there time . Now i will watch you two . Have a good one.
ОтветитьXx
ОтветитьHi guys... Wow... That's going to be a heckuver job to do this flight single-handed, like me. I'd have to go lock to lock, by the looks of it. Or get some help, like you...
Ответить🥰🥰🥰 just breath taking 🙏🏽🥰🥰 watching this channel just takes me to a warm, relaxed place and wish I could live this life!! I’m currently looking to convert an ambulance to an RV but this……. Is my dream!!
