Brilliant, really happy for you all and Welcome to the Bailey family. We love our 2014 Bailey PEGASUS GT 65 ANCONA 6 BERTH.
ОтветитьI would of preferred a window in the door than the little extra room for shoes instead of storage and the van is very narrow inside 7’ 3” .
ОтветитьFeeling very smug this end after all my pro-Bailey posts on your vlogs! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done guys. Congrats.
ОтветитьCongratulations guys! Can't wait for the next video!!!
ОтветитьFantastic!! Look forward to seeing your adventures in that- it looks awesome! Hope you have many years of fun in her... (him?) Kat xx
ОтветитьCan’t wait till you collect it and give us a tour
ОтветитьCongratulations on your new caravan Dan ☺☺ can't wait for the futur vidéo 😉👏👏👏
ОтветитьLove watching your videos just bought first caravan and took it to France and done your usb upgrade
ОтветитьEnjoyed watching your video, looking forward to seeing your new caravan when it arrives.
ОтветитьWell done Dan, enjoy your new caravan and have some great times in it, keep the videos coming.
ОтветитьPlaying catch up. I think you have made the right choice. None of my business I know but there is my opinion. Enjoy your new van and the the memories you make in it VBG all round :-)
ОтветитьHi Tony and family, You're going to have to shoot a new video intro. Seriously, its always the little things that swing a deal for you. In your case, its the cubby hole under the front chest. In our case, when we bought our van back in 2010, it was a Swift Challenger 580 - and the clincher for us was a couple of recessed cubby holes in the wardrobe either side of the fixed bed - ideal place for leaving the glasses/night time water bottle etc. Best of luck with the new van.
ОтветитьHmm..Knowing who the owner of the caravan is going to be, don't you think you will be treated 'differently' than Joe Public??
ОтветитьI guessed bailey months ago!!!
ОтветитьDan,
If it's any consolation I have owned four Bailey caravans, three from new and each of the four were excellent. My last one being a Unicorn Valencia which is now 5 years old. I have had no problems which any of them with the exception of a front window rubber seal which was replaced under warranty. I would have no hesitation in buying another Bailey.
well! good for you, looks a bute too. I did not know you were going to abandon Alde wet heating? and go for Blown air heating? ( I have neither), but I was looking foreward to a 'How to vid' from you because you are skilled enough to do it! that is a complete change of your Alde's anti-freeze system? (that would be a good un?), anyway look foreward in coming months to more.
ОтветитьGood luck with the new van, i'm sure it will be great. As i side note due to your videos and the outstanding service you get from Swindon caravan group we popped into their oxford branch on Sunday Whilst we were staying up near Tring, to purchase a tap cartridge for our 2007 swift accord 570 and...... well lets say we're travelling back to oxford on the 15th to pick up our 2013 bailey Valencia. oops. Wife is now banned from coming with me when i go to buy caravan spares. Lewis and the team at oxford seemed to be as good as lee and the guys at Reading.
ОтветитьHi dan well done u found what u believe is the van for you and your family hope it works out for u look forward to seeing the up coming video of it best of luck .kev
ОтветитьGet in there....nice one...
Here's to having even more amazing memories :-)
Swift voke
Ответитьwe just put an order in for a Bailey 640 yesterday - love the layout and virtually all of our vans over our 20 odd years caravanning have been Baileys so ...... very excited. Interested to hear what helped you make your decision - had not thought of that but as my husband has size 14 feet, think that will be a great benefit for us too lol.
ОтветитьThat's exciting! And getting the newest model too - very modern. Glad they were open to a small deal - seriously the new way of marketing!
ОтветитьGlad you've made your decision, these things are always so subjective with each family having different requirements. I think my problem would be with the fridge venting into the awning. Hope you all enjoy your new purchase, it's always exciting getting new kit!
ОтветитьHi dan quick one ,when you pull the toilet out there’s a small compartment underneath with a cover ,any ideas what this for ? Been told it’s some sort of odour compartment?
ОтветитьEnjoy
Ответитьproper happy for you and keep up the good work.
ОтветитьCan anyone recommend some sites for finding 2nd hand caravans for sale in the UK? Currently looking on Ireland it not having much luck so looking to the UK where the specifications seem to be a lot better, plus all the dealers here seem to source all their 2nd hand stock from the UK.
ОтветитьI might have a video idea. It would be interesting to see how is your car doing while towing a caravan. How does the performance change? Has something been broken on your car because of towing a caravan?(Like mechanics saying that wouldn't be broken if you weren't towing a caravan) How big is increase of fuel consumption? I don't have a caravan YET. but I am planning to buy one in the future and was wondering hod does it affect the car. Thank you in advance.
ОтветитьThanks Dan for sharing your journey but forgive me but I am little skeptic about any post purchase review given:-
* your work with Bailey / caravan mags
* as others have mentioned, I would be surprised if Bailey do not go over the PDI with a fine tooth comb to ensure 100% perfect.
* does this therefore not represent a typical purchase scenario for joe public?
I am not saying this simply because a Bailey (I have a Bailey and really pleased with it) but the same would go for any make given the principle here.
Finally, given van warranty will this mean a stop to those excellent videos you produce on how to improve things??? I hope not as they are the reason why I subscribe to your great channel. Thank you.
Hi Dan
We have been thinking of buying a caravan for a while now and watching your excellent videos has made up our mind! We are saving really hard and are so excited. We want to have so many exciting holidays with our 2 year old boy and our dog. I want to say thank you for all the advice you give and making up our minds. Your videos are excellent. No doubt I will be asking for advice in the near future. Keep the videos coming and enjoy your new caravan when it arrives. I cant wait to see it!!
Well done guys, Great choice. We picked our new Bailey up 3 weeks ago and are so happy with it. Enjoy.
ОтветитьCongratulations on your new purchase, happy adventures in your new purchase 😁👍
ОтветитьHi
Love your videos so much
So much info on them very useful. You made me go out and get our first caravan picking it up today so thanks for that my pocket is £10000 lighter lol
Hopefully ump into you on a site
Happy caravaning
Dan, you've led me astray. When I saw your first video on the Phoenix 640 I thought it was the perfect layout for me. Then I watched this one and checked on the dealer specials available. Anyway went out on Friday and bought a Bailey Titanium 640 (the Roper's Phoenix dealer special). Now i just cant wait for it to be delivered.
ОтветитьSprite/swift better choice for build and style plus has great front locker too
ОтветитьJust migrating from a VW camper to a caravan as we want the luxury of a fixed bed and a loo. Looking at new or nearly new budget or starter vans only and were leaning towards the Venus 570 but switched to the Phoenix 640 after visiting the NEC on Saturday. Will probably go for a dealer special, either a Platinum 2, SE or Ridgeway. A great channel for potential caravanning newbies, thanks. Two questions, all the dealer specials seem to have the same extras except for the upholstery colours and designs and external graphics, are they all made in-house at Bailey rather than a conversion at the dealership ? Why doesn't anyone at the storage facility use a cover ? We will store at home but a cover will be a necessity. Cheers...
ОтветитьThat remark on the end.... if nobody wants to buy a new caravan.. how do second hand ones get onto the market ? :P I would love myself a new caravan, but can't affort it at all.
ОтветитьWe are a bit late to the party, but have been watching your videos. Some of them we have only just watched after purchasing our New Bailey Platinum 642 (Chipping Sodbury special). Like yourselves, we loved the layout and feel of the Phoenix, but wanted the BBQ point, solar panel, outdoor socket etc. Still can't believe you get these on the albeit dealer special Phoenix, but no option on the Pegasus. We also unknowingly followed some of your decision-making, taking our time and involving the whole family like you. Keep up the great work and look forward to your next vlogs.
ОтветитьTo be honest what would swing me towards the bailey and not the swift is the fact the swift is a twin axle which means more tyres to buy, more expensive servicing, double the amount of motor movers needed and also some sites don’t like twin axles . Oh and two wheel locks and the faff getting the wheels to line up on the alko chassis
ОтветитьBrilliant set of videos, looking to buy our very first van next year. Found these very useful. Ps any tips for a mid 30’s young family first timers !
ОтветитьDude I love your videos.
ОтветитьBailey 640
ОтветитьHi there, love the channel. Casting your mind back, what was your view on the Avante 860? Did you include this in a video?
ОтветитьI've spoken to many caravanners who just popped into the dealership to get some toilet chemicals and ended up buying a new 'van, not 100% sure you'd do the same with a car. It is a lovely thing to do, we had two brand new, a 2005 Bailey Ranger 510/4L from Reading, then a disastrous ex-display Lunar Lexon SI of 2009 which was plagued with damp and other significant failures, traded it for a Bailey Olympus. The Ridgeway looks like a great dealer special, enjoy!
ОтветитьWell that was a shock when I was watching this video, as that's the place me and my partner are looking at buying our 1st Caravan
ОтветитьRidgeway caravan
ОтветитьHi Martin, I'm so glad you are keeping the caravan. My heart was in my mouth, when you started your chat .
I have always said, caravanning is not a cheap hobby, and my goodness the insurance on ours is so expensive. But fortunately the storage isn't too bad, enough but affordable.
We have been thinking about changing to a smaller one, however ours has everything we love, and we would have to compromise so much. So at the moment it's staying lol. And we so love going away, it's home from home.
I won't bore you any longer, however just one point is. There is terrible snobbery out there amongst caravanning and motorhomes. Just remember, as though you don't know. Your caravan is your castle, full stop. And, fully paid for 👍. Take care, enjoy 😊
