Ah yes, a classic scenario; "What if the Civil War was ACTUALLY about States' Rights"
ОтветитьWorst timeline
ОтветитьI think that Utah would still try to secede. So, what if Utah successfully seceded?
ОтветитьWhat if the Stuarts remained on the English Throne?
ОтветитьHonestly I see no way the Southern Union would long term be able to hold on to the northern Mid West, since the North would just manifest their destiny to the west coast and use bringing in immigrants to further out populate the south in establishing control of those territories.
ОтветитьI’m so glad someone made this video I was talking about the same thing to a friend one day
Ответить!
ОтветитьThis guy feels the need to constantly remind us that he is against slavery 😂
ОтветитьSecession by the "North"" (and West) is a reasonable question because we are approaching a point where the North and West will leave the Southeast.
ОтветитьThe analysis is very good but the ending shows a strong anti-South wishful thinking.
It's plain stupid to believe the Free States would be able to repeatedly defeat a much stronger South and grow from just New England to most of the normal USA in a few decades.
What if everything went perfect for Luxembourg
ОтветитьVideo idea:what if Brent Peterson became the president in 2024 elections
ОтветитьWilliam Lloyd Garrison called Republicans' abolitionist bluff and advocated for the secession of the northern states, severing their connection with the Constitution, permitting them to ratify an anti-slavery constitution. But you can't have manifest destiny (aka american imperialism) if states can just leave the empire.
ОтветитьShould do what if everything went perfect for Cuba!🇨🇺
ОтветитьCan you do a alternate history where everything goes perfect for the Britain like they keep all of America,Australia and even gain Argentina because they almost got it in real life and maybe they avoid ww1 even.
ОтветитьWhats if Spain conquered tunisia?
ОтветитьThank god this did not happen in real life
ОтветитьI'm honestly kinda curious how generals who sided against secession in our timeline would react to their own states seceding in this one.
ОтветитьThere is one fundamental flaw with the overall assessment, even if the South wins, slavery still won't likely last past the end of that century. Too many people will get too familiar/comfortable with those slaves to see them as anything less than human, especially as more generations of half-white slaves are born. Combine that with the tendency of aristocracies to in-fight and the power of the tyrants will inevitably wane.
ОтветитьCould you Ever make a video about what if anyone won the cisplatina war?(Argentine-brazilian war 1825-1828)
ОтветитьMake a video about an alternate history where Austria wins the Austro-French War of 1859, and then there is no Risogimento, which means that Italy will not fight Austria in the Austro-Prussian War of 1866 in the future because of its collapse.
ОтветитьOne thing I think you missed in the strategic goals of the South in this alternate war is that it would be very easy for them to divide the north in half simply by capturing Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Especially since as you mentioned Robert E. Lee would be more likely to conduct offensives it certainly seems that at least early in the war that area would be heavily contested as both sides would know that if the South can quickly split the North it would likely lead to a quick end to the war
ОтветитьOk, hear me out.... Communism. An independent north would be ideal for a classical Marxist revolution (far more than imperial Russia in our timeline), possibly as early as the 1870s. And, less likely, the South could see a Maoist-style insurgency among the enslaved population.
ОтветитьEarly corrupt usa is crazy
ОтветитьPlease add in that today's republican party was in those days 'Dixiecrats'. The sides basically flipped.
ОтветитьWE MAKING MINI-45-MINUTE-DOCUMENTARIES WITH THIS ONE🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
ОтветитьTo the people that read this, God loves you so much and I honestly just want to spread his world and everyone of you have potential to spread the Gospel and have a good day/night/evening/afternoon (not forcing anyone)
ОтветитьFor the final scenario, the US would probably abolish slavery if something similar Bolshevik Revolution happened in this timeline, due fears of a communist revolution at home.
Ответитьcan you make a video about what if rome lost the second samnite war
ОтветитьI find it ironic how the republicans and democrats have from what I can see as an outsider swapped places
ОтветитьNever got past five-minute mark, too many over-simplifications, can't maintain suspension-of-disbelief.
ОтветитьWest Virginia secedes and joins the north
ОтветитьThe north ? The south was the one who didn't succeed
ОтветитьIndoctrination
ОтветитьWhat if French Brazil became a reality?
What if Belgium didn’t mismanage the Congo Free Territory & it’s people.
You know one of the reasons the south lost was because the north had all the actual industry
ОтветитьWhat if the Hartford Convention (of 1814) succeeded? It too was the Federalist-dominated North attempting to secede from the Union, but in response the War of 1812. They were predominantly elites and businessmen who were against the war and knew war was bad for their business. It failed, however, when Andrew Jackson decisively won the Battle of New Orleans. In fact, the Federalist party ran their last candidate (Rufus King) in 1816 and lost in a landslide, leading to the party's collapse. But what if it succeeded?
ОтветитьI have a senario
What if The Miraculouses was real?
i like how the south literally has no way of winning in this scenario due to their connection to the north.
Ответитьid be down to live in the fsa ngl
ОтветитьWest Virginia wouldnt exist,or it would split and join the north as in real life
ОтветитьGreat video! i have a suggestion What if the Algiers Putsch escalated into a french civil war?
ОтветитьThe reasons for seceding are being over simplified as "we want slaves" The truth was much more complicated.
ОтветитьWhat if the USSR won the Polish-Soviet War?
ОтветитьProbably a better world !
:)
I'm not sure that the second Mexican Empire would need so much US support to retain it's power. Emperor Maximilian was a reformer with a lot of good ideas. It's possible that the Mexican people would thrive under his rule, and decide that the Empire is an improvement over the Republic
Ответить4..46 minutes?
ОтветитьUnder this scenario, the North lacks the resources for an industrial revolution, while the South remains backward.
ОтветитьI am still not convinced that they secedes just by the matter of slavery. There must be some other reasons too
Ответить.....But, it wasn't the North that was threatening to secede. It was the South!
Ответить
