One of the Bishops of Amazon was interviewed. He was explaining that the Amazon people have no word for celibacy or abstinence. As he went on about “the faith”, I almost felt sick. He said they were insulted if they offered their daughter or wives. I ask then: Isn’t it the missionary jobs to teach the gospels and the teachings of the church? In regards to the African woman singing the Latin creed. Does she understand the words of the song or is she just repeating the pronunciation? When I was young my mother took me to a church in which the mass was in a language that I mostly did not understand. I went through the motions, but did not understand the gospel and teachings and that was a huge loss. If the mass is in Latin, although powerful, if the partitioners do not speak it, the message and teachings are lost.

I have been studying your book for many weeks - but only today as a result or this interview found on page 283 the text of the Third Secret as revealed to sister Lucia at Fatima. I have no doubt her great reluctance to write it down in 1943-44 followed from her knowledge that she was to be a sacrificial victim. How difficult that must have been for her. It's clear - we know about the fake sister Lucia introduced by the Vatican in the 1960s - that the original simple girl from Fatima, sister Lucia, carried the burden of the world on her shoulders.

Xavier: you might also have mentioned Lourdes. As I write this, the 5th prophecy of Lourdes long buried by the Church may be about to be realized. Here I cite your book again (p 481) describing the war between Islam and the West and how "a bomb of great power will fall on a city in Persia..." That certainly sounds like an Israeli nuclear strike on Tehran. Hope I'm wrong about this -- but as I write it does appear things are playing out as prophecied at Lourdes.

Pope Francis never fails me to cause some vertigo because of his pronouncements, actions which contradict what i have been taught. However, he is the Pope of the Holy Roman, Apostolic Church. I can only pray to the Holy Spirit. More importantly, i always pray for the Bishops, Cardinals, Missionaries and the Religious every time I pray in the Adoration Chapel; Recite the daily rosary; Sunday and Daily Mass.

When in doubt, I suggest we Catholic laity read the catechism and go back to the Bible. Pray without ceasing and try to form a community at a local level. I live in an area that is mainly atheist but those that are Catholics think the church is “outdated” and needs to be revitalized. I spend time arguing with these people by bringing up the foundations I’ve learnt about our faith and what Jesus Christ created in his church. It’s a tough ride but Jesus never said it was going to be easy. Something did happen in the 20th century in the catechesis in the western world because I am yet to come across one catholic baby boomer that understands the faith. My generation is full of Catholics by name only who absolutely put God last if in any order at all. It’s heartbreaking but it can change. It is up to us to teach our children the truth and be bold in our faith. It starts with the family. Over the last 100 years the destruction of the family has been a priority for the evil one. Let’s focus on rebuilding the nuclear family and the traditional roles of the father and the mother.
