Pantera, This old world holds a lot of us who want to be prepared soooo bad, but we are diabetic. We cannot have potatoes, pasta's and noodles, sugar, rice, and bread. Those are our "big 5." There are lots of veggies we can have, and I know we can grown and can them, but people should consider the older folks with this type of disease. It is growing daily. What can we replace potatoes with? what about pasta, and rice? If you know of a prepper guide for diabetics please let us know.

❤Thank you for making this video! I moved in with family for a couple of years during a hard time, and we built up supplies together!
By God's grace, I've just moved into a small home hours away with limited space. Trying to build up an efficient and sufficient pantry.
Between this move and fixing up this cute old house and homeschooling my two little kids, I'm overwhelmed.
This helps so much! Thank you Patara❤

A D,E and K are fat soluble so be careful not to overload on those. The other vitamins are water soluble.

Hey Patara, Stumbled on this video in the feed after watching your latest (9-29-23). Decided to watch even though I Have been prepping for a long long time now. It was a great refresher. Helped knowing I have been on the right track after all these years without having a list to go by. Plan on sharing this list with some of the younger generation we've been trying to get moving on preps! Thanks for all you do by sharing info as well as, inspiration to beginners & even old timers like myself. Your heart certainly is in the right place! Blessings!

Seasoned prepper here! I'm very glad that you are doing these videos for the newbies and support you all the way. Also, just because Ive been doing this for a while, doesn't mean I can't learn something from the newbie stuff. I listen to prepping and gardening channels while I am cooking chopping, canning, dehydrating and packaging foods. There's always something to learn and build on. Keep up the great work!

Patara. I have seen this video before but it started playing while I am working on Thanksgiving meal. I feel this video is very important. It is so informative and educational. I am very prepped right now and I'm sure this video inspired me at the time. But listening to you again I am thinking about what I have already prepped and it is making me think about my stock pile. It is a good idea to revisit to ensure you are on track. Love ya Girl!

Dollar general brand clover valley.
INSTANT MASHED POTATOES ARE JUST POTATOES. this last lots longer without spoiling.
Unlike instant POTATOES WITH DAIRY IN THEM . ( most popular brands add butter. And have a lot shorter good by date for that reason)

I had to come back to this. I've gotten a rack set up and I want to increase my supplies. So, I wanted to see if you had anything from 2 years ago that I might not have. I'm actually in pretty good shape. I do need some more more crackers, instant noodles and vodka (got anew batch of vanilla beans). Thank you for a very comprehensive list!

Spices: Turmeric and Ginger-if you do not use them in cooking, look up medicinal purposes. I have arthritis and keep Turmeric ginger tea made. Natural antibiotics-onions, mushrooms, and of course garlic has already been mentioned in the video.

Suggestion:
Get shelf stable milk. This is usually good for a very long
time. I think 12 weeks in the frig but unoppened is longer. Good for kids.
Butter flavor Crisco. Not like real butter but better substitute than plain Crisco.
Powdered eggs.
Maybe Bob's Red Mill can send wheat flour. Get it if you can. You can do 1/2 flour & 1/2 wheat flour in your receipes. This will make loaves of wheat bread.
I found seeds at the Dollar Tree for 10c each.
If you can, pick up canning jars with lids & bands if they are on sale.
XOXOXOXO

Would water in buckets outside be good/ok to keep for the animals? Maybe keep using them and refilling till needed? My animals could do one bucket a day. But we have a well and need power for it. I always keep one full and it was good when we had a power failure for a day.

My whole problem with prepping is I started it when we know what started I got totally stocked up started using and refreshing but I literally wasted so much because it all expired like you mentioned Gatorade what good is it that I buy it now and it’s a year from now when everything goes under! I’m still up on some stuff that doesn’t go bad and some of my jar stuff I’m gonna start jarring even regular goods because buying cans and leave it in your cupboard doesn’t work. I understand the expiration dates aren’t really true food really eat when it’s can deserve it as it really doesn’t last that long!

Were not there yet thank got but were headed that direction. If u think others will feed u think again cuz theyre just as hungry as u u better prep cause when SHTF its too late

We didn't do Tang cause it cost too much. We did Sunny Delight. We ate beans, corn bread, taters often and had a little meat on the side. These cheap items go a long way toward filling you up.But always have cans of food already cooked you can eat without cooking in emergency. And always have water. That is what we don't have enough of in every emergency. With a well, no power means no water. And if there's snow, pipes are gonna freeze.
