China hasn’t fought a war because its military and its system of government is incompetent. Yes the USA has been fighting wars. Because after WW2 it was either us or the Soviets. This guy is ignoring history and reality. Nations once they have the willpower will dominate. The British, the French, Germans and etc.

If we let the rest of the world do whatever they want we would remain the sole superpower.

The USA is the military industrial complex that exists to go to war! It's the number one reason that you don't change your education system! Just look at your taxes, it all goes completely unchecked TO the military!!

This man is a fool. You cannot expect the global order of free and fair trade which has been the largest growth driver in history to be upheld by countries like Russia and China. Our military is a proportionally small re-investment in the system that has given us so much growth.

That’s not to say we should stick our nose in every regions business, but Ukraine and Taiwan, certainly deserve our attention.

Countries have a responsibility to aid their allies, and honor their agreements. Relevant to Ukraine is the Budapest memorandum. Russia, the USA, and the UK all agreed not to threaten Ukraine.

From Wikipedia "The memoranda, signed in Patria Hall at the Budapest Convention Center with US Ambassador Donald M. Blinken amongst others in attendance, prohibited Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom from threatening or using military force or economic coercion against Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, "except in self-defence or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations." As a result of other agreements and the memorandum, between 1993 and 1996, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons."

Given that Russia has dishonored their agreement, any future promises from them can not be trusted. It also discourages nuclear disarmament, when the UN is slow to provide the necessary aid. Those countries bordering countries with imperialistic ambitions, now have greater incentive to develop nuclear weapons.

although I agree that we need to decrease the amount we give to our military. I don't believe what he's talking about about.

Our entire economic model and the subsequent quality of life is based on American intervention everywhere.

If we all of a sudden cut this behavior off, what is the plan for the sudden local economic impact? I never hear an answer to this problem.

So you should, Ukraine gave the Soviet era nukes back to Russia, with the guarantee from US they'd protect them if Russia invaded.

All of our interventions have been disastrous.Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria. And nothing changed except plunging those countries into even more disarray. Eisenhower’s warning about the Military Industrial Complex was not heeded.

China lost more than 180,000 dead in the Korean War. They lost somewhere between 5,000 and 70,000 in 1979 when they tried to invade Vietnam.

Talk to your parents and/or grandparents about the world wars and why America got involved in the world stage. Second, ask why Republicans need to start so many religious wars.

Libertarians are rightly disgusted by MAGA and their naïve isolationism. Its a shame how many of them share the same myopic foreign policy that thinks it can separate global security from national security. This may come as a shock, but global instability that results from american retreatism enboldens empires to expoit american society though information warfare and our ability to engage in free trade with other nations.

Frankie Boyle on American Foreign policy.
American foreign policy is horrendous, because not only will America come to your country and kill your people. But what's worse is, that they'll come back 20 years later, and make a movie about how killing your people gave thier soldiers PTSD.
