The Best Spark Plugs in the World and Why

I have that same problem reaching the ignition coils and spark plugs all the way in the back of the engine bay on an 06 Toyota Avalon.

Scotty's right about being lucky to get 20,000 mi. with sparkplugs in the 60's. We've changed many.

iridium doesnt conduct as well as basic copper. race cars and drag cars use copper plugs lol . plus copper, when new, offer increased fuel economy, all that being said ,i guess its whatever the manufacturer recommends

NGK Iridium IX for my Honda...nothing else. I do live in S. Florida so I changed the heat range from a 5 to 6. I think the hotter 5 is to help meet emissions...

Iridium and ruthenium are the two best spark plug.

ALWAYS compare your replacement plugs to your old ones before installing. I had the same thing happen to me where the plugs I was sold were 1/4 inch longer. The right ones were installed. I like AC Delco professional platinum plugs, over all they seem to give the best performance. On my older 96 Dodge Ram pick up I use Champion truck plugs with a very "fat" electrode which does produce more power. They do not last as long and are very easy to change.

I think my only question here is why does it take the whole day of driving to clear up a noise that was obviously from the piston slapping the spark plug?

Great video Scotty! I used to work at autozone and half the time my coworkers had no clue about spark plugs so they would just recommend the most expensive ones and then customers come back pissed off finding out their cars run worse than their used set of plugs😅😅
