100%. I have curly hair (I’m half white half Latina), but the people online nowadays would say that I have wavy hair.

I did the same curl routine on my gf’s hair who has slightly wavy hair, and she had NO CURLS. Just very slight waves & it didn’t look good on her hair even tho I used a lighter leave-in & mousse instead of gel. It still didn’t make her hair curl.

Curly hair products don’t give people curly hair. They just define the curls & help them last. 👏🏻

It actually looks like she has naturally wavy hair. If you did that on my super straight hair it would just look straight and oily.

This helped me prove my point. I recently discovered I have wavy hair and the curly hair police will say I'm making it up. But her hair although it had a slight wave looked messy. If I do my hair the right way like you did for her it's going to look 10x less messy. It honestly looks messier when I don't style it. As the ends have a mind of their own and curl regardless of what I do to them.

i used to get so bullied for my frizzy poofy hair so i learned how to take care of it and now have cute little coils. my “friends” from growing up have spread a rumor that i use rollers and am attention-seeking bc my hair is blonde and apparently blondes can’t have curly hair. gotta love it.
