NRA Gun of the Week: Ruger Super Redhawk 10 mm Auto

Some folks must be into the 10mm.

This gun is pointless. There isn't enough case capacity in two 10mm casings to stress a GP100 mush less a SRH...

Hell man, the SRH is overkill for the .44 Rem.

Poor 'ol Super Redhawk. A very fine gun but UGLIER than sin. JUST my opinion fellas..... : )

Will they just make rimmed 10mm and 40S&W already

I cannot imagine anything more pointless (stupid) than chambering a revolver for an auto cartridge.
The convenience of using moon clips combined with the smaller case capacity of an auto case.
Wow. What an advancement. Why not simply use a rimmed case, .357 or 41 and load it down?
I can go hunting with a spear too, but don't see the point in that either.

Whats the point? 10mm is meant to give near magnum ballistics in an auto pistol. If in a revolver, just get a real magnum caliber.
And I like the 10mm, I own a Sig p220 Legion 10mm

So if the cylinder were machined correctly, I assume the gun would be strong enough to handle 10mm Magnum?

So why did they put the 10 mm in the SUPER Redhawk frame? Completely unnecessary. They're probably trying to use up those hideous frames. ( At least I hope.) Ruger makes outstanding revolvers, but the industrial design folks were standing behind the door when these shipped. (All Super RedHawks.)
