Higher Framerate is always better, who cares about "pace".

I've tried the game on my Series X the image is to soft when playing on a 65 inch 4k tv. If you look at the side by side of One X and Series X theres a lot more detail in in the grass and better draw distance on the One X.

I only experienced this game due to the game pass quest "shoot your sling 5 times" idk why but the presentation caught my eye and the overall feeling of warmth and dread that mixes perfectly.

I hate motionblur. Can i turn it off?

On PC even on lowest end Turing it was not taxing really. It has some nice effects, other have to be forced off in config to get rid of all the "modern" trash shader effects like motion blur, distortion, CA, you name it, it is plagued by it but a config edit luckily solves it. Unfortunately it's not really possible to replace the AO and DOF correctly at the right stages via ReShade, otherwise adding better AO would have been nice but also incredibly GPU taxing. Still with default AO and DOF it's not a badly looking game, just not the best SSAO there is. Consoles... stop playing on consoles ha.

This game is very well optimized. I'm surprised that series S has those drawbacks and also not a native 1080p presentation. I would say my PC is nearly the same in terms of performance of an xbox series s but I can do ultra at @ 1080p and get solid 60fps.

Really fantastic game. I finished it on One X last year and I’m now half way through on PS5 and these days I rarely replay games. I was already happy with the graphics/performance on One X, but of course it’s even better on PS5.

I really wasn’t expecting this level of quality across the board from an unknown developer. It puts many big budget AAA titles to shame. I’ll definitely be buying Requiem on day one.

I'm not sure why, but their chromatic aberration is super strong on the default setting. Turning it to low in the graphics menu really improves sharpness. I didn't see any negative effects by changing it.

I wonder if DF tried changing that setting during their test?

This game is poorly optimised

The console war is dead. I honestly don't get why people are so hung up on negligible power differences that barely translated to anything tangible in games. The true thing that matter is content that either can deliver anf quite honestly the games should speak for themselves.

The issue I have with games and it's not the consoles fault it's the developers! All these games can be absolutely stunning if the developers would actually put love and care into them! Every single last gen game when optimized should run at 4k @60fps! No Excuses! But they don't and it's the developers not wanting to put the effort in! They advertise that a game that is optimized are taking full advantage of the xbox series x's power either through native support or an optimized patch! But THEY ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ANYTHING! ITS A DAMN SHAME! REALLY IS!

I really want to play this game on my series x, but I've tried twice and both times it's frozen after playing like 5 mins. I gave up and uninstalled it. Has anyone else experienced this?? It's not my hardware because I have absolutely no issues with any other games.

Surprised as hell DF doesn't mention at all that One X has the crisper picture. Just look at the trees, the grass. One X is clearly crisper. I especially noticed it yesterday when I decided to start it on my XSX and I remembered it looking significantly crisper when I played it on One X. I don't care about any motion blur if it makes the pq this much blurrier.

It's on gamepass.

I'm really conflicted. I have a Series S and a PS5 and want to play it on release day but not sure which one I should play it on. I think visually both will look fine but the haptic feedback would be quite nice. Urgh, the dilemma of having two consoles 🤣

That grass part is really damming on the newer platforms. That shouldn't be like that. It's moving backwards.

It's unacceptable that this game is running at 30 FPS. This is ridiculous

playing the sequel on series x at 30fps is torture just seeing how smooth it is at 60fps makes me want to go back and play this one again lol.

I only just finally played this for the first time just before Requiem released on my Series X so I’m actually kind of glad I waited til I had a next gen console! Requiem is amazing I hope you guys do a tech analysis of it also.

I'm playing the PS5 version right now ahead of playing the sequel. I played the PS4 version a year or so ago and figured I would upgrade to the PS5 version and do another full playthrough. I immediately noticed the draw distance issues and even some issues where leaves directly in front of the camera were missing detail. A little later on, I noticed some grass that was just floating in mid air. At the perfect angle, it looks as it should, but rotate the camera just a little and there it is, floating. There's also a section at the aqueduct when Amicia has to sneak behind a guard to grab a torch and the torch is lit, but then when Hugo points out the torch to Amicia and you get the option to click R3 to look at it, the flame is out. As soon as that little highlight on the torch sequence ends, the flame is lit again. It's starting to get annoying and I'm wishing I had just played through the PS4 version again. Not sure if anyone else saw any of these glitches during their playthrough of the PS5 version

One X, I'll keep it, nothing worth upgrading for (yet).

Sony for the PS5 doesn't worry as much about optimizing old titles, they worry more about making remakes, or new games for the future. At least they HAVE exclusives. So if you want old games revamped at 60fps for something to play better stick with Xbox. PS5 for exclusives as usual.

How is this supposed to be the same resolution? Your Series X recording here is SIGNIFICANTLY lower res and blurrier than what you see on the left side with One X, especially watching this video on a 4K TV. I'm super confused.

I have just gotten around to playing this game I don’t know why it took me so long, but I got reminded of it after seeing videos of the sequel.

Anyways I am playing the first game now and omg such a good game. I love the atmosphere, characters, story and voice acting.

The gameplay is a little basic and there is one thing I dislike about the game pushing boxes but everything else is so good.

Anyways can’t wait to play the sequel as well.

Unfortunate the devs went from a superb motion blur implementation in Innocence to a disastrous one in Requiem.
