The system is great but it also allows new generation of plumbers to not want to learn the old school ways. Same with propress. I ran across a young kid two weeks ago he was probably 25 years old and was only trained on propress and megapress, He was completely clueless on how to sweat pipe or thread pipe. There are times in the plumbing business you still need to sweat or thread not every customer wants you to use the propress or megapress method. Believe me I been a licensed master plumber for 30 years. I'm licensed in 3 different states and I do all methods because I go to some homes as to where the customer is 70 years old and wants all his copper pipes soldered and will not take any other method, also goes for megapress. So these new generation of plumbers are in deep trouble because most of them are completely clueless on how to sweat or thread pipe. As he stated in video propress and megapress system is So easy a little kid can do it which is 100% true so what it does is it attracts every young kid out there who thinks they are master plumbers now just because they came out with a system a kid can operate and then they don't want to learn anything else, But I also blame these contractor companies who don't force them into learning all methods. Even the propress and megapress systems can be done wrong I see contractor who are not plumbers doing this system and have leaks one after another because they don't prep pipes properly or store the propress and megapress fittings properly, The one contractor I seen had propress fittings scattered on his van floor and was literally walking on them to find parts in his unorganized van. It's a hot mess out there with our new generation of contractors..
