Guys, Bird Strike even with a single engine loss doesn't cause huge Hydlaulic problems. For now it is still a mistery of why there was a belly landing with no flaps and reverser2 open. My deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives in this heartbreaking incident.

Another video shows that, in my opinion, the plane touches the ground much too late and loses only a little speed during the slide. To me the impact looks like it happened at a speed of over 200 km/h. Video was shown on CRUX.

Respected Mr. Putin and Russia responsible for this plane crash.

Mr. Putin, along with his North Korean soldiers constructed this brick wall.

Explain to me how on the world is a bird gonna hit the engine and the fuselage of the airplane ladderly from the side when it's going forward it's so much momentum and thrust for a bird's Pierces and makes some sort of damage to take down the navigation system There's no proof of verifiable shropnel going to the front of the airplane taking down the navigation system all of the damage from the same missile that hit it was from the side from the engine side going backwards of the fuselage so birds can do that...

nothing makes a lot of sense. let’s go to the landing gear, when have you heard of this? the least you can get the rear down whether manual or gravity as the wheels are exposed at all times. the nose is retracted in but still can be dropped. now the flaps etc this is very odd and why was there a wall? i thought there would be the arrester style concrete or earth.

Anyway arresting nets would make far more sense then concrete walls at the end of run ways.

I suspect that, similar to the LOT 016 accident in Poland that occurred in 2011, there might have been a combination of issues involving the hydraulic system and electrical problems, such as those related to the circuit breakers for the manual landing gear.

Seems to me that the plane also landed really long.
There's no way the plane would be going at that speed if the pilot got it down at the beginning of the runway.
Lots of things went really bad here....

It is almost as if the pilot or pilots purposely crashed this aircraft on quite literally a suicide mission. That is an extreme conspiracy theory, but remember what the pilot did with German wings flying into the Alps. It is a possibility if one pilot overpowered the other pilot?

There is a longer version of the footage of that aircraft skidding down the runway. In the first second of that video you can see it touching down on the runway…WAAAAAYYYY past the touchdown zone, actually past abeam the control tower. Which means they left at least 1500m of useable runway BEHIND them before touching down on this 2800m runway. Damnit.

It was aligned pretty good but came in way too fast. Even with a normal approach belly landing it would have stopped in time if the engine power was reduced. Apart from hydraulics issue something doesn't add up.

my assessment shows pilots deliberately stagnated reverse thruster action on left engine to try steer the craft away from the concrete embankment so that craft leers to its right and miss that concrete.. that's why reverse thruster is only operational in right engine. this is so so sad. may God comfort the bereaved. great assessment sir. good job

Reminds me of the once popular concrete lampposts, which were found to cause more fatalities and injuries when a car struck its sturdy structure! Fortunately, they have been replaced with collapsible zinc lampposts! Perhaps the management of Muan airport did not get the memo or just too indifferent about it! It's a tragedy when more lives could have been saved!

What the FUCK. How could everyone but the two in the absolute asshole of the plane die? Did they not burn enough fuel before trying that? I guess if an engine goes you don't have the ability to keep burning fuel. I'm with you on that ridiculous walk though. Lots of strange stuff here. Very strange.

After the Azerbaijani crash which Russia owned up to this one also smells of the same. Especially, after the S. Korean President declared martial law. N. Korea must be asking much in exchange for 10,000 N. Korean soldiers fighting in Ukraine. Spoofing GPS in this war was pretty common. Jamming and taking over drones, likewise. The Allies did this to Iran to sabotage its nuclear facilities. So, what is new? The South Korean airliner that went down in the Kamchatka peninsula was a precedent.
