Interesting!! I’ve had Achilles repair for a full rupture but I don’t think they put the screws in my heel. Maybe they did? I had ankle reconstruction on the other ankle and I can feel where there’s a screw or something in that, but can’t feel anything similar for the Achilles repair. My Achilles surgery was in 2018. I imagine there is more than one way to do it.

Tore my achilles about 2 months ago. Had the same procedure. It was painful afterwards could harldy sleep.
