Pretty cool method to reload my all-time favorite shotgun. Still, I wonder if through some innovative tinkering, a Jerry Miculek shotgun speed loader can be put on the SPAS-12 to allow a faster, smoother reload? The T-Doll SPAS-12 from Girls’ Frontline has said speed loader on her gun.

Violin loading does get easier with repetition but using the spas-12 for anything other than mounting on the wall as a collector's item would be troublesome. Weight being the biggest issue at almost 10 lbs empty. Training with it causes issues as well since parts are getting more difficult to find. I love mine! And your chest rig is very similar to the KSG rapid response mini-rig that I bought from Hitech custom concepts, yours holds more shells though. Nicely done video, Regards

I usually still use the standard upside down reloading technique as I run a 2 point quick adjust sling on my gun (it’s what I’m used to) and after playing around a bit more, I found I was barely unable to push the bolt release in when I wrapped part of the sling around my support arm. I really wonder if having the extended bolt release would help there. It’s the main accessory I still want to get for my gun.

In the meantime, I do still have the Fireforce sling that still works like a charm.

What’s the lower limits that force user to utilize pump action?
Could you/have you tried mini shells?
Can you ghost load it?

Not bashing on your but trying to understand your loading technique as a new concept. That is a technique that has been around forever, heck even John Wick uses a similar technique in his movies, I will say bot a good technique for combat, never want your finger out of the fight.

Thanks. I'm going to use a modified form of your technique with the back part of the sling around my right shoulder. Also, I prefer the shot shell belt versus the chest rig. "Mesa Tactical" also has excellent side saddles. Keep up the good work.

I’d do the opposite on reloading I’d keep my firing hand on the pistol grip, get one in the chamber asap and then load the tube with my weak hand. The great thing about a shotgun like that is you can top em off as you go.

Hey, long time no see. Been out of town so haven’t been able to shoot my SPAS-12.

But I have been wondering if those shell caddies would work as well with this technique. Quad load caddies may be too unstable for tactical use, but the ones where you grab 4 and load one after another may work. I already load multiple shells at once with my reloading technique of tucking the gun underneath my arm so being able to strip multiple shells in one go rather than grabbing each shell individually may be helpful. But I don’t have a plate carrier so I wouldn’t know how viable that is.

The amount of flak this gun gets in tandem with praise for it being iconic, is puzzling. I've never shot one, but I've done enough research to know it's not the impossible to handle, unreliable, recoil monster many make it out to be. That usually comes from gun newbs who watch guntubers who don't actually own one of these and learn the manual of arms properly. Still on my bucket list...one day lol. Nice vid dude.

Your technique is only slightly better than flipping the shotgun upside down to reload. You are are still "out of the action" when you remove your right hand off the trigger. You need to practice loading with your left hand while the weapon is still in your right hand in battery and pointed downrange toward the threat. In an actual engagement your right hand must constantly remain on the trigger and you never want to completely run the shotgun empty which will then require a lengthy reloading process. That is the beauty of a tactical shotgun over a magazine fed pistol or rifle. You don't have to shoot it completely dry before reloading. You are always fully loaded as long as you keep your left hand free to top it off and you must always have a round in the chamber with the weapon pointed forward in battery.

But I thought you were supposed to always leave the stock folded (insert reference to Billy Bob Thornton's hapless henchman character from 'On Deadly Ground') and always reload upside-down and "wrong-handed!" 🤣 Cuz, you know, that's how they do it in movies and video games (video games get a lot of their bad habits from copying movie tropes). After all, even Arnie does that in Raw Deal. And with a Mossberg "trombone gun," no less, thereby rendering it even more pointless because that gun's not front-heavy and has no loading gate.

Oh, and don't ALL 12-gauge shotguns with single fixed mag tubes only hold three rounds regardless of mag tube length? 😂

I play alot of Half life and Half life 2 and it's episodes, and i love how they reload allthough i love the spas-12 guns, trigger disiplin, and more.i think the spas-12 is the most satisfying gun in video game history and i also have a Bibi gun that isn't loaded my mother taught me trigger discipline. and yeah.

I still do not understand why the designer thought having the loading gate needed to be locked.

I came for the chest rig, no really I came all over myself when you explained how you made that chest rig. 72 rounds is awesome compared to even the "Grim Hunters 56" payload, 42 for the Ksg and 24 for the SOE. I hung 2, 18 round grim hunter, a 25 round molle and another 18 round molle on my plate carrier. But yours f@ckin does it for me. Where'd you get those 9 shot cards?
