Why did you decide to make the motives 180° rotated? I would expect them to be both heads up.
ОтветитьWow! Those might be the cleanest sand cast coins I've ever seen! The reeding was a nice touch. I've heard that was an anti-counterfiting measure invented by Isaac Newton.
Ответитьyou forgot one step... before the knurling you have to push up a lip around the edges..... :)
I would think you coulld easily do it the same way you did the knurling but with out the teeth.... but maybe you would have to flip it just like you had to with knurling, and you'd probably have to use a bit more pressure... maybe using a slightly angles piece to press against the coin would not only keep it from sliding upwards but you would only be pushing up one edge at a time..... oh but if it's too much of an angle it would push the metal out of the edge, huh..... hrmmm ... maybe using an angled piece isn't such a great idea... well, maybe LOL I guess it would be a bit of trial and error...
These look FANTASTIC!!! I can't believe you got so much detail using acrylic and a laser!!!! haha!!! Do you think you could engrave a 3d surface? like not just one depth across the pattern, but having depth to it like on US coin... I think it could be done... but it would probably be easier if you did it with one LARGE coin so you could get a lot of detail without it having to be etched really deep.... GREAT WORK!!!!
ОтветитьVery cool!
Love the way you made them perfectly round.
Definitely would love to try and make some custom coins like this for magic tricks. Don't have a mill to make the reeds though, but I think I might be able to do the other parts.
Either way, would be a fun project
His kingdom is a-coming.
ОтветитьNow you gotta make six outta nordic gold to finish the currency. These look amazing!
ОтветитьSuper cool!
Ответитьwooden flasks? those are NOT flasks lol.
ОтветитьI've been meaning to ask...can you reuse the petrobond sand? Obviously the blackened sand is not reusable, but what about the rest of the casting? Can that petrobond be reused?
ОтветитьThat's pretty cool!!!
Ответитьwhere'd you get that little hand crank sieve for the sand? I tried using a cooking strainer on petrabond and it was a lost cause.
ОтветитьWould a later engraver do the face?
ОтветитьThat’s pretty cool
ОтветитьReal currency coins are not cast, they are pressed. Please, try to make a PRESSED coin.
ОтветитьShame you couldn't learn anything about typography first.
ОтветитьMinting is a stamping process, that was casting.
ОтветитьThat seems like a great business idea 💡. Making custom coins for ppl with their picture.
ОтветитьDamn they look so cool
ОтветитьNice finish but WAY too labor intensive. How would you make coins out of 400 POUNDS of silver!
ОтветитьYour creativity compliment your arsonal of tools... or maybe I said that backwards. Great video!
Ответитьword of caution...this is a violation of federal law in the US. Silly and unlikely to be enforced, but it is.
ОтветитьI NEEE MORE COIN VIDEOS THEY ARE AMAZING
ОтветитьI learn so much every time I watch one of your videos. Thank you!
ОтветитьOutstanding job ❤. Looks just as good as country sponsored coinage, maybe even better than most.
Best of luck 🍀
Cool project and a nice foundry. what machines do you have?
ОтветитьReally cool idea! Coins turned out very nice! Amazing to think, if we really want and try, we can have or do whatever you can imagine! Great job! Thanks for sharing!!
ОтветитьA few Roman coins with the name "Silbannacus" have been discovered over the years. It seems that he was an obscure claimant to the Imperial Throne during the Crisis of the Third Century. Imagine if he was actually just some dude who minted coins with his name on them for a lark. Maybe in 2000 years, someone will find these coins and wonder if they've discovered a US president who was lost to history.
ОтветитьCan you build a Mandalorion armour ?
Ответитьvery cool
ОтветитьScrew press would have been easier
ОтветитьThat was awesome!
Ответитьwhat should i buy if i want to start melting metal and making things
Ответитьgood video
ОтветитьIs it possible to do with actual coins as a mold? 😂
ОтветитьIf I wanted something like this will you do it?
ОтветитьLove it! Thank you 🙂
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьYou’re an amazing talent. These projects must give you a huge amount of satisfaction & joy.
Ответить👍🏻👍🏻
Ответить🐲💨💥LFG!!! Giddy Up!!!🌮🎲✨
