Love love love this I am one for more ...I am all in for the over lapping...that store is so cool I can see why you want your space to be like that...I have been wanting to go darker on paint colors lately but afraid 😨 to bring it up to my husband...don't worry you are not the only one who spilled paint all over carpet...ruined the carpet and a carpet cleaner all in one day so do not use a carpet cleaner on paint on carpet..learned the hard way...keep up the great videos...

You must feel so great that you stuck to it no matter what pitfalls. I must admit the paint on rug may have taken me over the edge. My daughter had me paint both nurseries black. She decorated with black and white. Her pediatrician told her that babies only see black and white at first and that would stimulate them to enjoy the crib and their space. I have so many things I inspire to do but dont follow through which makes me feel bad. You did a great job and like you said it is soooooooo you. 🤩

It's so lovely Katherine. I couldn't wait to watch this as my gallery wall is in my head and I have curated so many paintings, prints and items. I have that big corner stack of stuff like you had. I love that trim and will be looking into it! I've always used different textures and things that don't seem like they should go together but I find their commonality and they work. Loved it! Loved the wall. didn't even know this trim existed. i will be using this to dress up some picture frames. My husband and i had an all black bedroom when we worked 2nd shift and had to sleep throught the sunrise. Black background wallpaper with misty green/gray, muted pink and dusty peach strips and lillies and fleur de lis on it. Walls and ceiling. black blinds, black calico curtains lined in black with black eyelet sheers. i had such energy then. Love what you did here.

Beautiful! I loved seeing how you include your kitties in your design vision. I lost my girl “Bob” just this past December, she was blind & deaf but made it to 25 yrs old. She went blind at about 1 yr old so I got pretty good at tweaking things to make her life easier. Hopefully you’ll have many more wonderful years with her.

I have several gallery walls and I didn't plan them out either. What I did was put the large pieces in first, then the middle size and then filled in with the small to smallest sizes. It turned out great. You have to create a balance in each display as you go, but everyone does it their own way.

My little sister painted a black wall that looks exactly like velvet and filled it with antique and vintage gold framed mirrors of all sizes. It turned out absolutely beautiful ❤😊

I love your sense of style! You've given me some ideas to try. I made a jewelry collage, similar to the one your friend made, for my mother. It was made with some of her old jewelry and some of my deceased father's jewelry (belt buckles, bolos, tie tacks, political pins, etc.), and bits and bobs that represent her life adventures (square dancing, St. Paul/Nagasaki Sister City trip that they made, living in Australia for 2 years, representations from most of the mid-west states where she has lived, family birthstones). I used an old heart-shaped valentine's chocolates box for the base. I wish I could show it to you. She loves it. I will have to visit the store Hunt & Gather Antiques some time. I believe it is in St. Paul?
