When you do the larger blanket area, is there any issues of the wool condensing at the bottom over time?

Is there really absolutely, positively no need for a sheet of platstic/vapor barrier on either side of the insulation? And, if so am I correct to understand that installing a vapor barrier would actually interfere with the moisture wicking and releasing action of the insulation? Could one use a double stick tape to hold the vertical bats in place while installing the wall covering, or would the batting pull apart and shear off of itself and fall due to its own weight. I'll be doing this build alone for the most part, if I can't keep the batting upright I can't install this myself. Is there any other video showing an actual install? Thank you for any further info!

How would you insulate the floor? Is there a danger of a plywood flooring bending with the flexible wool underneath? What do you do about the exposed metal surfaces that surround the cavities? How would you insulate those?

We just purchased a van and want to go with Havelock for the insulation. We just aren't certain how much we have to buy so we are trying to figure that out. We don't like to waste lol

I am concerned about the batts settling in the large cavities. In a moving vehicle (with smooth metal walls) often driving on gravel and dirt roads, I can imagine the wool batts would slump down over time. How can this be avoided? Assuming the cavity is filled with the wool, perhaps just a large "X" of double-sided tape, or spraying some 3M adhesive, would be enough to keep it in place. But that would only hold the one batt, and I would still think any addition layers that were needed to fill the gap would be subject to slumping. If this issue can't be adequately addressed, I would plan to use rigid foam board for the large panels and use the wool for the ceiling and for stuffing all of the other areas like the cavities in the structural members. Please let me know if you have any experience with this issue. Has anyone who has used this product for a while had the opportunity to check to see if the batts have slumped? Thank you!

Hi, I’m thinking to insulate my van with wool. We’re not going to be in a cold climate so my question is how well does wool deal with keeping radiant heat out?

Hey Josh, I can't find ultra touch which I use in my recording studio. After a lengthy search I want to fill 6 tubes. They are 12" x 4' high tubes with havelock to create some sound absorption tube traps. I am in Cincinnati Ohio how much do you recommend I buy and where can I get it from? Thanks

Great video, great product. Maybe a few text summaries at some steps wood help or even written in the desc.
I wonder how it lasts with all the car shaking after thousands km. Or is there a way to help the wool to not compress (sewing/taping vertically or horizontally/..) ?
Thanks

Does tape really work for long term use? It seems like it would sag after ~1 year of driving vibration and temp changes.
