Disruption of the Education Industry by Blockchain technology

Education, like many industries, has a number of startups which claim to be using distributed ledger or blockchain technology, to disrupt the industry. Some 11 such startups have published white papers in 2018 so far.

Moderated by Terry Hilsberg (Innohub Capital) this session features presentations from Maria Spies (Navitas Ventures), Ken Taggart (Chattykids/LearnGold) and Andrew Robinson (Questagame/Biocoin)

This event discusses the following items:

1. The various projects and existing companies in the education industry using blockchain technologies;
2. The claimed advantages of such technologies, as used in education;
3. How the blockchain may change education business models;
4. Investing in such projects at a seed, pre-sale, or ICO stage; and
5. The reality, versus the hype, regarding the state of maturity of project crypto-economics and the underlying technologies.
