Wow! Thanks Taria! I was thinking of picking up more Pitt pens and this definitely gave me a good reason! Thanks for the post!!!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this. It creates an almost 3D effect. Cheers! -janet
ОтветитьFabulous and helpful as always, thanks!
ОтветитьTop tip! Thank you!
ОтветитьI use some brush pens a lot even over gouache
ОтветитьLove that house!!!
ОтветитьHi, Taria ! I have been using the FC Pitt Artist Pens since this summer on you recommandation from a previous video. I love them and I must say they have taken my house portraits to the next level. Thanks ! Looking forward to more tips and recommandations ! Have a lovely week.
ОтветитьI was literally JUST getting down on myself for feeling like I didn’t have enough contrast and just “coloring in” my sketch. I actually thought of those exact words last weekend when I was doing a really colorful sketch and despite its color I just thought it looked flat. I would love for you to go even deeper on these pens and see you use them and talk through when you choose which one.
ОтветитьThank you, your ideas are very interesting and useful, I will definitely use them in my own art) By the way, your drawing is so beautiful)
ОтветитьOh, how I've missed hanging out and watching you paint. Your art's improving quite rapidly, keep it up!
ОтветитьI love it. Would have liked to see the photo reference
ОтветитьThis is amazing! I am actually painting the exact Pinterest image!! :)
ОтветитьSo amazing techniques, i love all your artworks and videos❤❤❤
ОтветитьOh gosh! I literally just attended Ian’s demo class yesterday and after he showed how he used multiple cold/warm grey pens to add contrast. I started swatching my Faber Pitt brushes to see if I could use them. And here I am watching this video! You read my mind!! 😘
ОтветитьExcellent. Thanks very much for this. I’ve watched both John H and Ian F but somehow you’ve made the technique more accessible than Ian. And Ian’s markers are fugitive, so I like the idea of Pit pens better.
ОтветитьHi Taria. Love your videos.
This video gives me the push I need to use more mixed media. When I start with watercolor I tend to use watercolor for all the details and shading as well. They might be not subtle enough or indeed end up muddying my picture. I don’t have these Faber Castell pens.
But I will make a note to myself to use my colored pencils with my watercolors instead.
Oh yes, I too bought this set couple years ago and wasn’t really using it until a few months ago I started with watercolor. So when I searched for something to add smaller shades I tried them and use it as my cheat code since then :)
ОтветитьThey are two very different styles once you use these pens. One I would call traditional or classic, which I still love and this one that you are doing is a newer way Both are valuable imo.
ОтветитьGreat video, you manage to be very helpful and instructive without being formulaic. A before and after view of the sketch next to one another would have been nice, I found myself going back to the middle to compare and see the difference contrast made.
ОтветитьI use the Tom bow BUT it is water soluble. Good to hear Fabre castle is not.
ОтветитьThank you! Lovely! Porch Rocks! The shading? Wow!
ОтветитьI just bought a new set of the gray Pitt Pens. They are my favorite brush pens.
ОтветитьWow! It sure does help everything to become 3D ... it's great x 😉
ОтветитьWOW Taria! That turned out super-gorgeous! I’m still nowhere near able to sketch the way you do but, with the help of your course, I am getting there. It was brilliant to watch how the addition of the Pitt Artist Pens to create some contrast and shadow made that piece pop. I’ve had that set for years but never used it 🙄 I am definitely going to start playing now. Thanks Taria ❤️
ОтветитьI love using ink with watercolor and these pens look like a good addition to my art supplies. I’m going to try this. Thank you! Love your work!
ОтветитьWell done! You’re an excellent teacher!
ОтветитьGreat sharing friend,awesome😃👍☺️...
ОтветитьNew subscriber here loving your tips thank you x
ОтветитьWhat white gel pen do you use?
Ответитьhelloooooo... I was wondering if you could do a castle loose sketch watercolor painting? like a squirrel's castle or something? I am trying to do one myself, ever since I found your channel I simply cannot get enough of your art style.. just brilliant all of it!! I was wondering what your approach would be in sketching a castle would be, hence my comment. :) once again ..absolutely LOVE your feed!!
ОтветитьI was just seeing this issue with my art and appreciate the advice.
ОтветитьI would never have thought of the shades of grey pens! This exploded my brain. Thank you from B.C. Canada.
ОтветитьI just found out your channel and I am addicted. Thank you so much for all your tips! Just a question: while I dont get the markers from Faber Castell can I use copic markers instead? Are they a reasonable raplacement for this specific goal of shading? Thank you
ОтветитьYour videos are so eye-opening and inspiring. Love them!
ОтветитьGood understanding for contrast now, when I can see it, it makes more sense, thanks for showing this.. Now how and where do I show white or highlights?
Ответитьomgg, thank you for the solution! in a previous video from u i was commenting about how my sketches look like just a splash of coloured water, now i know why :DDDD ur the best thank uuu
ОтветитьI love this! I just bought the soft brush nib set because the set you have was out of stock. I hope I like them and I'm able to create these kind of shadows and depth.
I also really enjoy your sketching process and am trying to get loser with my sketches and not get so caught up in realism (which I can't say I really succeed at anyway! Haha). I like the purposeful whimsy of loose sketches versus the feeling.... "Hmmm this looks off and like a mistake"
Hey, this is all new to me and I will certainly give it a go. Really enjoy your work.thank you for the inspiration, and more basic tutorial please!
Ответить😱 I am in love with your sketches😍
Ответитьloose is so much more better
ОтветитьWhat is the white gel pen?
ОтветитьAmazing!
ОтветитьTSA 🧨
ОтветитьHi Taria
Yes the grey / black markers do help to bring out the contrast. I just watched Ian Fenley’s suggestion and bought me-self a set from Cass Art down the road and they work wonders. 😊 Thanks a lot
How do you choose which shade of grey to use?
ОтветитьThis is a great lesson on painting. Thanks.
ОтветитьThanks, Taria. I’m going to try it!!!
ОтветитьI am always amazed by your work with ohs and wows!!!
Ответить🌷🌷🐻🐻🌹🌹♥♥
ОтветитьI like it very much
