Also, just to add to this, if a person were to marry and have sex with a 9 year old, and she were to become pregnant as a result, she could die due to birth complications such as a hole in her birth canal or fistula. A girl of that age is not ready for sex, and what happens during the night of marriage? Consummation. Islam does not allow harm to innocence, and a child is not ready physically or psychologically for sex or marriage at the age of 9. This needs to be questioned by all Ulema around the world since enemies of Islam like to propagate this to the world to compel others to think Islam is evil. Salam.
ОтветитьThankyou very much for this.
I agree with this view.

ОтветитьThank you very much for addressing this very important topic. May Allah give you best rewards for spreading awareness and clarifying this misconception which is used by kufar to disrespect our beloved Prophet Mohamad ( peace be upon him).
Many many thanks. May Allah bless you. Ameen
Tnx, most embarrassing hadith. I was asked about this bye a dutch friend and i wish that i had an answer 15 years ago.
ОтветитьAssalamu alaikum very enlightening and well explained. Shukran. I will certainly be listening to all your talks. South Africa
ОтветитьAsSalama'laikum dear brother! JazakAllahkhair for this answer! This concept always disturbed me (especially as a father with a daughter😓). It's one of the foremost concepts that many people try to attack this dean! Thanks for clearing it up!
ОтветитьAsalamalaikum mufti Abu layth. Ty for your answer. Masha allah your explanation was brilliant. 👍🏿
ОтветитьMufti can you pls give us the hadith I. E reference to the story of Hola asking phrophet to marry again and giving the reason to marry. is this in bukhari and is it authentic
ОтветитьI am impressed by this presentation - especially AFTER knowing that the speaker was schooled at very traditional places in Pakistan and elsewhere, and that he passed all those rote-memory based traditional exams with distinction. Had I not read the topic underneath (thankfully), I would have never listened to him beyond he finished his accolades and scholastic background. More often than not, that kind of background is a big turn-off for me because those graduates make homogeneous copy-paste group and usually - in my humble opinion - do not make great thinkers in Islam, barring few exceptions (like this speaker I guess)
Needless to say, I will be waiting for his future exposes.
Fatwas are opinions anyway, no matter from whom. I think today's average individual in their right mind, can differentiate between good and bad. The general consensus that the slavery is allowed in Islam at all times but it died its own death as the time passed so it is disallowed today is untenable. If it is in the Qur'an, then it is permissible at all times. Today, our scholars try hard to explain away the unpalatable philosophy and legality of slavery and concubinage in Islam, and try to take the apologetic approach. The Qur'an, however, the Word of the All-Knowing, and therefore, is applicable for all times to come. So, my take is that we need to research hard into the Qur'an (yes, the Qur'an, NOT the Hadith because I really see no authority for the Hadith folklore in the Qur'an anywhere) and learn to differentiate between the phrase "milk al-yameen”, or the familiar "ma malakat aymanukum" (whom your 'right hands possess') as used in the Qur'an, and the word "imaa" (plural of 'ama', the servant maid) as also used in the Qur'an. Engaging in the buying and selling slave trade by the believers is not mentioned ANYWHERE in the Qur'an (although it could be allowable if done for altruistic purposes, like for manumitting them). As far as the Qur'an is concerned, the only source of "milk al-yameen' is through wars and this phrase seems to refer to a certain specific class. Obviously, a "master" cannot FORCE sex upon the slave girl if she happens to dislike or hate it because any kind of compulsion violates the Qur'an in all matters of the deen. In my opinion (whatever it is worth), the verse 47:4 has baneed slavery of the POW type for all times because there are only two options for the victor -either ransom, or free them out of good will. No third option.
ОтветитьAbsolutely magnificent, well impressed with your scholarship, referencing and style of delivery. You should start taking pledges of allegiance and guide to structured learning, particularly for those new to practice and continue engaging in dialogue with supposed scholars from other walks in the UK and protect the people from turning into sheeple. Wslm
ОтветитьThe Hadeeth is not a Holy Scripture like the Qur'an. And should seriously be analysed. The Hadeeth should be re evaluated, part by part for it's relevancy in society now, it's authentication and remove contradiction
ОтветитьThank you a person who doesn't have STUPID BACKGROUND MUSIC keep the good work up
Ответитьlet me give you a new one guys they never got married no ceremony took place on the face of earth for rest of the understading on the issue check seikh imran imran hossein in sha Allah
Ответитьlove you bro...a legend is born..lie hadeeth is the creation of some jews ..cos..they cleverly lied with a ratio of 80 percent truth and 20 percent lies..but that 20 percent cost a big troll to Islam..you may ask then why 80%truth?Because 80% truth was 100% authentic hadeeth of prophet at that time, hence he included to avoid any doubt.they saw the danger of fastest growing of islam..there were many jews and christian spies intermingled with Islam and started their basic work to destroy the islam in many ways... .Look at the condition of poor muslims trapped under due to the blind believe of Bhukhari and many other hadeeths.Quran repeatedly ask to think...think...think...
Dont believe the scholars...
Can someone please give a timeline as to when Mufti actually explain the time?
ОтветитьThank you for the explanation. I didn't believe that the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) married Aisha at the age of six. I believe that they had the dates wrong since in those days they didn't keep accurate records. It was basically word of mouth or oral. Besides most of the population were illiterate then.
Ответить6 years on hadith Bukhari ,sahih Muslim, abu Dawood.
ОтветитьSubhaan Allah, beautifull explanation!
ОтветитьJust recently villag Arab have been writing down dates, like I know many older Arab who really don't know what year they were born.
ОтветитьBrother you should deliver similar lecture in Urdu as well. Urgently need in India and Pakistan.
ОтветитьThe sick lunatics call Muhammed a pedophile ! And they dare to say , that it was a normal thing to do , marry a child of 6 or 9 year old ! " Everybody did it " they say .. I don't think these people have nothing to do with us , they are zionists !
ОтветитьI did not yet find such a clear explanation and clearification surounding this topic! Thanks for your efforts Mufti.
ОтветитьYou say that all the prophets children were from Khadija but scholars say that his son Ibrahim was from his concubine Maria.
ОтветитьAn excellent and long overdue response to foolish arguments portraying our Prophet in a bad light.
May Allah bless you Mufti Abu Layth!
I could never trust a mufti who has more swag than me
ОтветитьIslamic theology is very interesting, detailed and to be honest very reasonable. Thank you for that!
ОтветитьThis is the correct answer I sincerely believe
ОтветитьWhether the reports of her being 6 at the time of her marriage and 9 at her consummation are wrong, weak, challenged by other narrations where she is older and so on is really secondary or even tertiary. The issue here is whether it is possible to get the larger Muslim communities all over the world to accept that marrying children as young as 6 or 9 is illegal and not acceptable, morally and ethically. That this has to stop entirely and society has to come out clean and clear that this is to be discontinued and taken out of society henceforth on the basis of it no longer being within morally and ethically acceptable social norms.
So far, more than enough Muslims and their representatives believe that it is legal and morally and ethically acceptable in their social norms and culture to marry children to adults. As long as this continues, they will not improve as a society and will not be able to avoid vilification and suspicion.
She was already engaged to be married to someone also so she was not 6 or 9. Also the quraish threw all sorts of accusations against him but never said his wife was a child
ОтветитьGreat stuff, there is no shame in speaking the truth. Prophet Muhammed SAW is the best role model and the best character, truth must be spoken hadiths must be scrutinized. Keep up with the good work, I am impressed.
ОтветитьI do have some issues in Islamic Studies, Jurisprudence - jurisdiction, rulings, or commentary of Quran. What is the best way to interact with you for in person online discussion...! I hope my invitation goes not ignored...
ОтветитьAccording to the biography of Asma the older sister; Aysha was 10 years younger than Asma.
And at the time of Hijri Asma born in 595 AD, was 27 years old . The prophet married Aysha 2 years after hijri which makes her 19 years old. (27-10+2=19)
Asma born - 595 AD
Aysha born - 605 AD
Hijrah - 622 AD
Marriage to the prophet - 624 AD
Sir Ghamidi had clearly explained about the marriageable age
ОтветитьSelam Aleykum . I love you. ❤️
ОтветитьYour well qualified mashallah.
ОтветитьHistorically, Aisha (ra) had a sister Asma (ra) who was 10 years older than her. According to Abdur Rahman Ibn Abi Zannad: “Asma (ra)was ten years older than Ayesha.” [Siyar A’lam an-Nubala of al-Dhahabi (2/289)]
According to Ibn Kathir: ‘Asma was ten years elder to her sister Aisha
[Al-Bidayah wan Nihayah (8/371)]
Now let us look at age of Asma (ra) when she passed away:
According to Ibn Hajr Al-Asqalani: Asma (ra) lived for 100 years and she died in 73 or 74 AH
(Taqrib ut Tahdhib)
So Asma was 28 when she migrated to Medina. That means Aisha (ra) was 18 when she migrated to Medina. And she shifted to the Prophet’s ﷺ house within a year of two after the Hijrah (migration). That proves that Aisha (ra) was between 19–21 when she consummated her marriage with the Prophet ﷺ
Sahih Al-Bukhari 476
Narrated ’Aisha :
(the wife of the Prophet) I had seen my parents following Islam since I attained the age of puberty. Not a day passed but the Prophet () visited us, both in the mornings and evenings. My father Abu Bakr thought of building a mosque in the courtyard of his house and he did so. He used to pray and recite the Qur'an in it. The pagan women and their children used to stand by him and look at him with surprise. Abu Bakr was a Softhearted person and could not help weeping while reciting the Qur'an. The chiefs of the Quraish pagans became afraid of that (i.e. that their children and women might be affected by the recitation of Qur'an).
This hadith is around the time of the first migration to Abyssinia. And Aisha (ra) clearly states that she had reached puberty when her parents had become Muslim. Her parents became Muslim very early, around the time the Prophet proclaimed his prophethood. So she was born before the start of revelation. And she was atleast 12 when Sayyidina Abu Bakr (ra) thought of migrating to Abyssinia. That makes her 19–20 when she consummated her marriage with the Prophet ﷺ in Medina.
